I play for about an hour or two every day and I can honestly say I probably won't improve much more than I have. I'm probably a 4 out of 10. My problem is I'm old and my reflexes and hand eye coordinaiton are shot. Decision making skills slow way down at 50+ years of age LOLS.

Representing the nintendo switch players. I'm trying to be the number 1 player on switch. From watching Jake's videos, I went from getting top 50 to top 5 on the majority of matches within about a month or so.

I play on switch as well, and I have a pro controller with paddles. I'm still getting used to using the jump in the back of the controller and make simultaneous aiming moves but I agree that for controller players this is ideally better.

As someone who plays on a Dualsense Edge I personally have been using flick stick with Gyro aiming. It's been pretty good for me so far and I'm hitting a lot of shots even at far range. I just gotta work on my movement.

W video for those that haven’t seen it before Jake. Always great tips. I use an Xbox Elite 2. I use a paddle for sprint, one for jump and one for crouch (the 4th is for taking clips, i did have it set for reload but it’s not necessary). Absolute game changer of a controller. My game went to another level when I started using it.

Learning tips from Jake and getting a paddle controller were the things that improved me the most, even when I hardly get to play. I got a great deal on a PowerA fusion pro 2 Xbox controller, works great for me.

5:14 I have said this for years since playing BF4. The reason I bought the elite controller for the Xbox and have used it since. The ability to jump and interact/reload without taking my thumb off the sticks. I then got rid of crouch/slide from the right stick and moved it to a paddle as well. It started so I didn’t randomly prone shot mid fight in BF4 and COD

Quick weapon swap at least on console is way to buggy still. Expect to constantly switch weapons, the icon move to the new weapon but you dont actually switch weapons. Especially when going from items with a longer animation like gloves or heals to weapons rapidly. When it works it's a great setting and frees up a bind but I had to switch back normal swap because it was happening way to many times per match and costing me to many matches

These videos helped me tons when I played controller. Switched to K/M earlier this year.

Great video. I was wondering if it is possible to map individual weapons to paddles if your controller has them? I was thinking it would be helpful to link gloves or shotgun to a paddle like you can on a keyboard and not have to cycle through when you are in a fight.

The only problem with controller vs keyboard is swapping weapons. The quick swap is good if it worked properly. It is buggy as hell with the gloves. If you swap weapons the weapon changes in the slot but not in the game. Ie you will swap out the gloves to a shotgun but the glove recticle stays on but you can’t shoot.

Great video, Jake. Super helpful. I play on Xbox One X and recently switched to a wired PowerA and set the back panel buttons to jump and duck. Works great. Also, I play on PC and use 8Bitdo Xbox controller. My kid plays on Switch with regular joycons. We both finally completed the battle pass.

Dualshock 4 gyro player. No aim assist. Not that many hours yet but in a couple of weeks I'll be where I was on mnk.

Talk about gyro if you could. My ps4 controller is broke on the joystick and I got no $ (hence the free game) but no tips or help out there

I play switch and Xbox. There's definitely a difference between them but I have fun on both and they usually get different bugs. Still fun

I use Xbox elite 2 with all paddles, my paddles are set to a, x, LB, and RB, having the paddle for jump is essential. I also learnt to aim my shotgun headshots by just jumping and firing - you learn the timing of when to shoot and I can get consistent headshots like that, which gets around the difficulty getting first shot on controller aim

I use an Xbox elite 2, the paddles have been a game changer for my movement while fighting. I'm still trying to focus on keeping my thumb on the thumb stick for aim assist because I'm used to aiming then removing it.

yea I think making change overtime would probably be easier to adjust to than changing a bunch of things at once

I use a Xbox elite with the paddles if using controller, mainly for racing. But mainly keyboard and mouse. Started on it about a year ago. Hard to go back to controller now.

Fusion powerA with 4 paddles..nvr have to take thumbs off sticks.. it is wired, but input is so quick. Is a bit heavier than most .

I have a pro scuff ps5 with mouse click triggers and 4 back paddles I use 1 for slide, 1 for jump, 1 for pick axe and 1 to build

Ive been playing for a couple months now but I use gyro aiming and I haven’t heard of anyone using it. What’s your opinion on it? And im on gyro cause splatoon was the last shooter I played

I actually run an aim controller sort of because of you. I didn't know much about pro controllers and then I saw you talking about them and their lifetime warranty, so I did my research and ended up going with it. Very happy with my controller wish I would have waited till they had this sale going on but what are you going to do. Trying to figure out if I should change my jump from r3 now that I have a pro controller, I've just been so used to it since before I had back paddles that I feel like it would throw me off changing now.

I believe he means strafing. Strafe to make small adjustment in aim is a lot easier to do than to make small adjustments with the right toggle. Also helps you not get shot.

10:52 Bushs are a good example for this . That's not true Jake, if you play on a console, there are aimassists in and around bushes. At least on Playstation, I've tested it, try playing on a Playstation where I was sikring in a bush and aim at an opponent standing just outside the bush, then your aim changes from white to red and it does the same when you aim on a bush and there is one inside the bush, you have to get close, but it works. And that's because that's the way aimassist works when you're close and at medium distance, when you play on a Playstation and maybe also other consoles plus when you play on an android device, try it yourself if you don't believe me.

The Crosshair turning red is not aim assist. Aim assist slows your sens when you’re locked on a player. That isn’t as strong in and around bushes.

How would you know what the player that killed you is using? Have i been missing something?

My only problem with controller is i sometimes get stuck trying to switch seats in the cars. It's like i get in the seat below the turret and can't use either slot for several clicks.

If you can afford it, I would recommend it. It's my first time with paddles. Also having the different sized caps is a big help.

I use Power A Enhanced, but my back pedals are already used for sprint and slide (I dont like pressing the sticks in), so I still can't jump without taking my thumb off the right stick.

I tried MnK and it didn’t improve my game. The issues I have in game are nothing to do with input method. If I was a builds player I’d use MNK but not for zero build.

I've only been playing since April.. I do have a mod controller but not an Aim.. I was happy with my sensitivity till today... Tried to speed up my settings, but my aiming has been really horrible for that setting.. Not sure if I'm trying to speed my progress too fast or I just suck..I do already use that map but I'm in no way even close to the speed you showed in the demonstration... Still trying cuz I do believe controller players have a chance... But damn I get my butt handed to me in creative... Thanks for the video Jake...

I've been playing since September and playing a decent amount of aim training I'm sure you can win in creative at least 20% of the time after just a few more months where I am I can beat almost everyone in zero build pit but there's always those players who either don't miss, are impossible to hit, or just go crazy with a grappler and a pump shotgun. I don't usually care about people not using weapons in the current loot pool unless I die to the MK Alfa... then I get one and target the person that killed me with it until I'm satisfied or they leave the game I didn't play when it was in the loot pool but it's still my favorite weapon by far for some reason I feel like the aim assist on that thing is just unmatched it feels like cheating.

My bf plays on pc, and when he plays on controller, he uses the xbox controller.

I use basic ps5 controller with galaxy Thom sticks

I play on a ps4 controller with the ps4 back button attachment and a high-rise kontrolfreek on the right stick

Xbox elite 2, I use all 4 backpaddles. Makes this game way easier. And honestly, I don't understand people who don't want paddles or learn claw. Like whhhyyyyyy. Why you don't want to be able to jump/crouch and shoot?!?

tbh mouse and keyboard does have a major advantage in build thats why I play no build. If I only played against people on console I would probably play build a lot more.

Wow I had no idea that aim assist is disabled if you tab out on pc while playing! 🤯Sometimes your team mates are communicating with you thru discord dm's (voice isnt always an option for everyone) and you need to tab out to see what they've said/where you're going next/etc.

Your not alone my aim just feels so off with every weapon and when im using snipers when i ads it will automatically aim high up instead of straight and ive had the same sensitivity settings for months and i was fine i feel like im actually going insane

@@Bdishman1ads’ing is all about crosshair placement, all weapons in Reload besides the bolt action sniper and hunting rifle are hitscan. what’s your deadzone ? and how high is your sense ?
