God, I love Di maria it's always a pleasure to watch him play ❤

It's probably been said elsewhere in the comments, for me he's the most underrated/decisive footballer of this generation. In an era of polarized football where many players kill it against much weaker sides but fail to raise their game when the stakes are high, di Maria is that unicorn who performs in the biggest occasions. He's scored in so many finals. Even in the 2014 CL final where he didn't score, it was his raids from midfield that ultimately broke Atletico's defence in extra time. I'm a Juventus fan and he wasn't at his best during his one year with the club. Even then he could do and see things like nobody else in the squad. Glad to see him back in Benfica, he deserves to play there rather than the mess Juventus currently is.

One of the fastest players, one of the best dribbles, great long range and short passes, great long range and short shooting, great crosser, always providing assists, defends, pressures, makes runs. One thing that I want to say is that Angel Di Maria is the perfect example of a player that does not always have great stats every season and is more injury prone than others but that got plenty of natural talent and is humble enough to help the team. Coaches often benched him to play overrated players or made him start in a position where he could shine more difficultly but every time I watched him play he brought life in the game. A true football creative artist and who's scored in the two most important finals of his carreer.
