I left the captain alive when playing it on my 3rd char and was blow away by the result, did not expect a different mission ending after having done it 2 times... I like how most strikes and missions have alternate dialog if you play them a second time, or this alternate ending, its a small thing but adds a lot to the experience when you notice it

Honestly, since it was addressing Tower accidents, I thought it was misspelled on purpose - like with "Devrim Gay".

Did people not know about how you can spare the captain? Wasn't that the obvious choice? I mean the Fallen aren't exactly inherently evil. They just lost their planet and the Traveller's light and they have no choice but to fight other races for their own survival. It doesn't mean they don't have personalities and wills of their own.

The Fallen kind of are though. They did take over the Cosmodrome pretty violently. But sure that was probably one house out of many. Destiny 2 they're all united into one house and they straight up follow humanity wherever they flee to kill them off.

In the eyes of the Fallen: humanity (as a species, Exos and Awoken included) are thieves who stole the Great Machine (the Traveller) and have done nothing to deserve it. Aside from which: the Fallen followed the Traveller, saw the humans had it, tried to steal it -- they've spent centuries living as pirates it just came naturally -- and failed, then they settled in to eke out a meager existence. They think the Guardians are trying to loot the same places they are and they're more than willing to kill to get another hour of life.

Veltrusen Heterin But like I said, they aren't inherently evil. The Vex and Hive have no choice in the matter in terms of letting a guardian live. No matter if the guardian saves their lives or not. Since the Vex are just a network of Radiolarian fluid, they don't have any kind of emotion, other than the fear that they have for the Light since they cannot replicate it. As for the Hive, they can only stay alive if they live by their nature and feed their worm. To spare a guardian is to go against that nature and will result in their worm consuming them instead. That's what I mean by the Fallen not being inherently evil. They do have their own individual emotions and are the closest to humans in that regard.

Maybe we dont have to be enemies. In the grimoire cards from destiny 1, we learn that the fallen were abandoned by the traveler when the darkness came to fuck shit up. Now that the traveler is awake and maybe if the guardians can make an alliance with the fallen, the traveler might be able to help them once again. Also I cant be the only person who wants to see a prequel game where you play as fallen guardians before the traveler went to earth

It seems Mithraax is the only Eliksni that is willing to stand by Guardians, Variks let all prisoners out of the PoE, and made his escape in a ship, also most people want to kill Fallen because they attack on sight, but we do the same, so they have no choice. They just want to know why the Traveler betrayed them.

There is also an interaction on Titian that is for a submarine detection thing that talks about something big moving underwater

lastmann415 There was one lore card back in D1 where Cayde talks about fighting off Hive along side a Fallen. A temporary allegiance. Unfortunately (she?) made a move against Cayde afterwards, tired and slow after a thoughtful pause in the sea of Hive bodies. Cayde thinks the Fallen did so, so Cayde was forced to kill them. (Being enemies after all, also may of had an injury?) Nice to see the Fallen being portrayed in a more in-depth light of character. Rather than just another enemy type

Personally I think its Oryx's worm. When you kill knights with a headshot their bodies disintegrate and their worms fall out for a bit before exploding and dying. Oryx's body didn't disintegrate when we killed him and we killed him while he was at his largest size. It's possible that Oryx fell to Titan after the Raid, and his worm escaped into the methane ocean. That would partially explain the presence of the hive there, and the existence of the taken.

It happens by someone randomly kicking the first purple ball around, accidentally bring it to the first spot and noticing it spawned a new colored ball. So that person kept kicking around the new ball until they found all the spots.

that mission on titan was just amazing how you walk in and it's just a war going on, i wasnt paying too much attention so i didnt know why, but it was cool. you made me regret killing the captain

That scene with the fallen captain reminded me of one tale from Cayde-6 where he storms a hive temple and fights the hive alongside a Exiled Fallen Baroness.

A marksman who misses his mark

I was riding my bike to school when this video was uploaded, i stopped in the middle of the cross walk and my friend Tony stopped with me to watch it, we sat there watching it the whole till some old lady was yelling at us like "aye git ur got damn shit out da street k" and tony is italian so he gets really mad easily cause his blood is 93% meatball, and he throws my whole sandwhich. MY. WHOLE. SANDWHICH. at her, and then she flipped off Tony and drove off. But then at lunch i was really hungry but Tony had thrown my sandwhich and i didnt know what to eat, and honestly Terramantis guy. Its basically your fault. Do you like to watch videos of starving kids across the world and smile knowing its all your fault?

Found out the Knight, Captain encounter completely by mistake. Blew the head off the knight and took cover behind the metal support columns they were fighting between and took aim to dome the captain when he did the dialogue bit and took off. made me happy for some benign reason xD

That tower accident...Cayde's reaction was just too perfect.

That song can be heard in a lost sector in the tangled shore. You meet Mithrax the fallen captain again before you start the zero hour mission.

One theory.... Remember the stranger? The female exo? Who talked about something coming in the future and she had no time to explain... Remember Cayde when he was trapped? When HE was in there he talked about how he had no time to explain..... And this was after the red legion destroyed us.... Maybe... the exo stranger was from a different dimension (where Cayde is a girl) and let’s us know ahead of time that something was coming...... After hearing about Osiris and how he has entered the vex network and is able to change reality and knows things that we could not even comprehend..... So wacky shit with wacky shit..... Makes sense?

Lord Dogma that's too weirs. Cayde is aa guardian and the stranger was not, she has no ghost and says she is not forged in light. I think the cayde line was just a small hint that the stranger is not totally forgotten and we will see her again.

Just something cool i heard from other lore videos about the captain. His armor appears to have bits of gold/yellow hinting towards the captain being from the house of kings. and in the lore it seems that prince uldren is currently in charge of the entire house of kings. more of a reason why the guardians and fallen could team up

#10 was also in D1, you could do it with special ammo boxes in the crucible as well, any range sight

Really late but i haven't seen anyone say this but if you have the destiny item manager you can keep you intact starting gear (100 light) if you have the damaged version already in the vault (10 light) so its a nice start to the game instead or the light level 23 gear they give you in the farm

Number 4s song makes an appearance in the empty tank lost sector in the Tangled shore of the Forsaken DLC. And in the DLC, we team up with some Fallen to take out other Fallen. :)

I never knew that last one. I always kill the fallen captains first because it's easier to kill them when they're distracted. Hive knights just run backwards away so they're easy to kill when occupied or not.
