i think that what makes Jason the most beloved killer is that he never runs, he never talks and never takes anything too fast, he just walks, stalks and teleports around the placing building suspence to then kill them in some clever way, also the fact that he Cannot die, making him even more terrifying. i think that the fact that he does not talk or even makes a soun makes him more terrifying, you can stab him, beat him shoot him, he wont care, he will just get back up like nothing happened without making a sound, which is why (imo) Jason is the most beloved killer...i mean imagine if jason would go Argh or something every time he is stabbed or shot, the actor would get a sore throat right quick, and if he talked they would either make him sound too normal, or too Stupid, like a demonic voice or something like that, it would just have been weeeeird.

He does run in parts 2-4.. or 2-3 at least... he bursts into the Jarvis house front door in high speed in pt 4... and he, or rather the person he is currently possessing, breaks character completely and talks at one point in JGTH. But I agree with your point in general, absoltely...

yeah. had to give up on a body count at that point. Godzilla's "body count" is padded with almost all collateral kills. and aliens!?!? you can't put an entire species up against 1 guy. haven't done a count but I'm pretty sure humans have killed alot more humans than the aliens have.

The main reason there were so many different actors was mainly due to the fact that no one else, besides Hodder that is, actually wanted to do it a second time. The actor from part 2 apparently had a fairly gnarly medical issue from the mask, which was also the main reason they switched to the hockey mask.

EVO6reviews Nope. It's always been Ki-ki-ki Ma-ma-ma. It was the voice in her crazy head telling her to kill people. And that voice was of her dead son. The film makers talk about how the sound is actually an electronically distorted and edited sound sample of Mrs Voorhees saying "kill her mommy" as she hunts down the final girl in the movie.

I want to see a prequel centered on Jason's mother. How she went crazy after Jason drowned, tried to pursue legal action then turned to witchcraft to bring him back. Maybe. There's only been a few movies where he actually attacks a city and focuses solely on destroying it. Usually he's too focused on fighting whatever kaiju is serving as his punching bag for that movie to really rack up a high body count. Also consider that most people don't stay in the buildings once he makes shore so there's probably minimal body count when he actually destroys one. Also, that study was done in 2005. Both Legendary's reboot and Shin Godzilla were a loooooong ways off at that point. I would imagine Shin Godzilla would add to that body count significantly.

When my dad was a kid, he dared his bullie's to go to an old abandoned lake at a campsite. (He was freakishly tall back then) He put on a Jason costume he made, torn shirt, fake machete, everything, and hid in the lake. Jason kinda appeared in an early 1990s Robotman (by Jim Merrick) Sunday Strip - Robotman on the sofa watching a horror movie and Jason appears behind him, sits beside him and proceeds to say to the tv "no, don't go in the cellar" to Robotman's obvious surprise - or something like that. I've been wanting to get a copy of this strip for 20yrs now, but no luck... yet!!

That's because there is a Voorhees, NJ. There is also a lake in Manchester Township called Crystal Lake......and I thought I'd mention that the filming location for the first film (at least that quaint little town..) is Blairstown NJ

The actual camp is called something else. Not Camp Crystal Lake. The do tours there

Jason arguably has the highest on-screen body count in horror film history. According to the documentary His Name Was Jason, Jason killed over 300 people in the course of the films. Jason Voorhees has taken the lives of (at least) 146 people. Michael Myers follows behind with (at least) 121 people while Freddy Krueger sits at the lowest with a body count of 35.Later revealed to be over 19,000+ kills under Jason's Kill Count after the events of Jason X.

did ya'll know that Kane Hodder held the world record for the longest fire stunt for a while. It was in Friday The 13th: Part 7. While they were doing the fire stunt Kane got really bad burns on his neck, arms, and hands developing scars in some places.

Someone should make a game that you play as Jason and can play as him in all of his different forms and in his different movies and you go through the movies trying to kill EVERYONE and not die, or get caught by security or police. Its a good idea yeah?

In the game's virtual cabin there's an Easter egg where there's a tape called "A long night at camp blood 2" and on the back it mentions "Josh is back"

Fun fact : the original ending for freddy vs jason was originally gonna have pinhead in it , sadly newline couldn't get the rights
