Well said! Most people on here who have those similar items somehow feel less genuine about why they have it. Like they think they should so they bring it but he actually gets joy out of them and uses them often.

I've watched quite a few of these 10 things essentials, and in almost every one of them there is always a comment like yours, where they exalt the actor or athlete's humbleness by the simple products they consider essential. It's gotten to the point where it's more unique to be more materialistic lol.

that little tote bag story was so real and relatable, idk I found it very endearing :) seems like a good guy
Usually, a lot of artists on this show bring things that are completely unused/untouched. Especially journals and books. But I liked that you could see that he was actually using these things. Also, seems like he is really invested in the image of an artist and therefore is very influenced by that. For example, carrying the cards, or the history of the watch.

Or when artists bring in their film camera, and say the whole pretentious reason of shooting on that format is the reason why they love film. But you know Jacob actually has a passion for cinema & film.

Jacob is in many ways a very analog guy and I like that about him a lot. He likes hard copies, tangible reminders. We get so used to seeing tech as one or multiple essentials so it's refreshing that he is anchored by more simple and attainable things. And anyone who has pen preferences is ok in my book.
Admitting you got charged $54 for a TOTE BAG on camera. That's bravery.
he's got such a captivating personality he's someone you just want to know more about and im happy his career is really taking off now.
All of these things could be so pretentious but you can tell he has a spiritual and emotional attachment to all of them and that makes this kind of show and tell so genuine. I love seeing this
This dude is an incredible actor, because I absolutely HATE him in Euphoria, but adore him in real life.

i hope he NEVER loses his accent, the aussie accent is just beautiful!!
There’s nothing more satisfying then watching an interview of someone who u can feel is truly genuine! I’ve been following Jacob since 2018 but he’s remained so true to himself, I admire it so much. He’s one of the few celebrities who takes time to answer the questions, and who gives truthful answer. Though he’s still very reserved he’ll break down his walls in interviews sometimes and it’s so cool to watch!
He would be great in an American Psycho Netflix series remake.

I just fell in love HARD for this man. He’s literally the type of guy I would go crazy about, I mean the camera, the silver rings, the watercolors, his dog Layla? Perfection
I feel like the character he was writing for in that journal was Felix Catton, the book gives off major Saltburn vibes.

he’s so smart and articulate. i could listen to him talk for hours
this man is so down to earth, it’s so beautiful to see
i love how he always carries this little objects with him that actually have a meaning or backstory it’s really entertaining and cute lol
he’s such a nice guy omg, how he’s able to transform into the monster that Nate is wild to me. He’s so talented
the way they changed the title to saltburn made me question everything LMFAOOO
i hope he receives much more appreciation, bcuz he actually seems like a down-to-earth, generous, and kind person and not aggressive like in the role he plays.
There’s something naive about him, in an endearing way. He seems to be buying and getting certain things simply because someone he admires (especially an actor/director) has done the same thing. If Heath Ledger had the that camera, then I’ll have the same camera. If Kubrick wore that watch, then I’ll wear one too. You can tell he’s an eager young actor and wants to acquire a certain respect in the field. As I’ve said, naive but in a very endearing way.

I don’t know why I find this comment so funny😂😂😭😭
He’s so cute when he talks about being nervous about the tote bag price 😊
“I have too many tote bags…” Me everytime I buy a tote I do not need. 😂
This is such a calming, comforting video. He has a remarkably soothing voice and personality.
Now he understands times changed. He bought ab$50 tote bag and I love it how he said he feels bad for buying such a expensive tote. He understands value of money I am amazed now even some actors feels our daily pains how to are ends week.
he always gives “overstudies for a test” kind of vibes but it’s endearing.
I love how passionately he speaks. I'm pretty sure this is the first interview I've seen of him i think those are my favorites i like seeing his personality show compared to a character
broooo you can really see how much he values his craft...so professional but also so humble...you're so smart jacob elordi i think i like you even more
He’s so so sweet I’m in awe of how lovely a person he is
It's Nice to find a young actor who Thinks. You can tell he's a little embarrassed about sharing his 'Essentials' by the 'flush'. I look forward to his Future Projects.
Great to see. He's a real traditionalist, I'd say he can survive perfectly without a phone.
i love how most of his things are vintage and stuff you wouldn't expect people to carry around with them anymore. He's very much an old soul🥰😇
This video was refreshing and I genuinely smiled when he spoke of all his belongings.
Jacob is such an interesting person. Love him. Thanks GQ!

I’m actually obsessed w him. He’s very intelligent and his interests and thought process is very interesting to me.
The way he talks about his dog, it just melted my heart 🥺❤️
You can tell he is more in love with the art of acting. Then the fame of being an actor.
For some reason, this particular one felt quite genuine.
the way he chooses to articulate his words is so satisfying
He has a very deep soul. His looks are lovely, but he has so much so much more to offer.
love his manner, fun/brilliant/ sweet fella
I love he has an obsession with art and photography its so cute
Jacob elordi is spiritually a nice empathetic highly emotionally aware of everything and himself ✨ 💕
if people were a type of music jacob would be jazz…oozing with such a creative, artistic, soulful spirit!
Hes the sweetest I love this
He is just soooo captivating. Gorgeous, deep, insightful....
As someone who was just in the ER yesterday, I stan someone who always has a book on them. Also I have so much in common with him? I also shoot medium format and firmly believe my Yashica is the best camera in the world
He thinks so deeply about everything.
Can't wait to see what projects he's working on next. Jacob Elordi seems like such a cool person.
Was not expecting him to sound like this or be this calm / soothing.
I like how he showed the Evelyn Waugh book which in Saltburn he said the characters were based on his family in the movie😭🫶
Jacob talking about his dog is the cutest thing ever awwww :')
The tokens are such a great idea
hes sooo scrumptious
This one is my most favorite 10 things video!
I'm so in love with him it's unreal. He's a great human being 🥰
This was so lovely to watch!
What a genuinely nice guy 😄❤️
Such a sweetheart. The way he describes Layla. 😍
HE SEEMS LIKE THE TYPE OF DUDE THAT WOULD BRING A TYPEWRITER AS ONE OF HIS 10 ITEMS
he’s genuinely so captivating
I really got a crush on him after watching Kissing Booth and loved him with Joey King. But then there were stories that Hunter had beef with him after he and Zendaya split. Something about Jacob being a D about something. Maybe he truly is DiCaprio level acting because he comes across as a sweet quasi nerdy introvert and not at all jerk like.
Literally slaying
