I want to see Wario and Waluigi as a boss fight. The game is called "Brothership", so why not have the Bros face off? I think Wario and Waluigi have amazing potential for attacks, mirroring Mario and Luigi's attacks but with their own style. I don't think they would be a main story boss, since the game will probably focus on new characters. But they would make a great secret / super boss.

Building off of this, what if their mechanic is they dodge your normal moves, meaning you'd have to specifically use Bros. moves to defeat them? Mario and Luigi have to prove they can out-teamwork them, and the fight ends with Wario and Waluigi being out of sync or bickering

Wario and Waluigi will throw each other under the bus if it means one of them will win. Two examples: 1. Wario grabs Waluigi by the throat and forcibly twists his body into the shape of a baseball bat. He then tries to hit Mario or Luigi with Waluigi's body. If one of the Bros counters, then Waluigi takes damage. 2. Waluigi sets Wario on fire and he runs around in a panic. Mario and Luigi must jump over him as he runs in their direction. After 5 laps, Waluigi trips up Wario and sends him skidding towards Mario or Luigi, who then have to knock him back with their hammers. If they hit Wario, he turns into a bowling ball and crashes into Waluigi like a skittle.

In the section where you talk about special enemies, they could bring back once again the Golden Beanie, it was on Superstar Saga (and the remake) and they brought it back for Dream Team, in both they work as an XP boost, but in Dream Team it only appears on the Dream World, has more health, tries to run when approached and in battle,but it gives a lot of XP and coins

The weird thing about Dream Team's hard mode is that it's not very well balanced in my opinion. Regular battles aren't much harder imo, but the gian battles are harder than anything else in the game.

@@Streetcleanergaming yeah, i didn't struggle with the motion controls, but the amount of damage you take is crazy if you mess up. i think it's because level and equipment don't factor into giant battles, so you'll always take the same anount of damage.

I just recently completed hard mode in dream team, and I completely agree! The giant battles, especially the last three, were very annoying. A big problem is that failing them forces you to sit through lengthy cutscenes before you can try again. The final boss was also pretty unbalanced with him constantly healing in the background so much that you essentially either have to be over leveled enough to deal enough damage so it balances out, or you need to use that one broken time stop badge effect.

@@solarboydjango5219Dude, Stuffwell was awesome I really wished they’d thought of him earlier to superstar saga, the bros did have suitcases. He got annoying at first but I loved him eventually and his “BACK TO ADVENTURE!”

I really hope also that Elite Trio comes back, they need some big attention time. Bowser's Inside Story was a good introductory for them, but Dream Team offered just a boss fight, and less important moments. They deserve big and more.

I do think they will have giant battles in Mario and Luigi brothership, but it will be shipped battles where you use your island to help you attack I don’t know other enemies or other ships

The thing I'm hoping for the most is the return of the Elite Captain Quartet from the side modes. Captain Goomba and the rest of the ECQ already had lots of character building in Minion Quest and a bit in Jr.'s Journey, so bringing them back in perhaps a new side mode would be really cool to see. We also don't know what happened to them from BIS onwards, maybe their ranks have been fully restored since then?

November cannot come any earlier!

The biggest feature that I know they won't bring back but I really want is Advanced Bros. Moves. After the Brothership announcement I started replaying Superstar Saga for the first time in a while. The Advanced Bros. Moves are so freaking cool. The idea that Mario and Luigi hone their technique over time and develop variations of there moves is something I've never really seen before. Especially with picking one move and being able to change which one you use with action commands on the fly. It's such a dynamic thing that expands upon your capabilities (for example, if you unlock Advanced Splash Bros before fighting Queen Bean, you can use it to speed up that fight since that move hits spiny enemies for double damage, and you don't take damage from hitting the spikes on her crown). Similarly, I really like the levels for Bros Attacks that Superstar Saga had. Allowing the player to choose different difficulties for their individual moves is also something I haven't seen before. It feels like a great way to dynamically learn the timing for moves and then reward the player with higher damage and lower BP cost as they move up levels. Both of these seem super unlikely, but in the Direct they mentioned "Evolved Bros. Moves" so maybe there's hope for this yet?

Here’s my idea with the giant battle with the Brothership. They should do a similar mechanic like Rocket slime like an Armored warfare

8:07 Technically the og Bowser's Inside Story did have a hard mode in the form of the Challenge Medal where it buffs enemies stats (Even the ones Bowser fights), but even then it's a piece of gear that the bros can wear and is not a true hard mode.

I think there should be a part in Brothership where Mario and Luigi swap personalities somehow so we finally get to see a crybaby Mario and a protective Luigi instead of it being other way around, because let's be honest Mario deserves to have at least one moment of emotional vulnerability where he actually cries for once, and the player has to find items for a potion or something to switch them back even though it'll probably take at least an hour or two of searching to find the specific items. This is just a dumb idea that's probably never going to happen lmao

Part of what I love about Luigi is that he’s brave enough to persevere through his fears while also keeping Mario in check, who’s more likely to jump into trouble before thinking things through. Luigi doesn’t need to be outwardly brave to be brave and Mario doesn’t need to be openly scared to be scared.

I don't really think you're right about the bros. attacks, because the first two in the trailer don't really seem complex enough to be a bros. attack, what I think it is, is that, since the game is based on Mario and Luigi working together with everything, I think the "bros. attacks" that we saw in the trailer (aside from 3D red/green shell) are actually NORMAL jump and hammer attacks, and if Mario and Luigi go into a battle when separated, THAT'S when they use the jump and hammer attacks we're used to, but I dunno, I could be wrong

I kind of wanna see Popple take in Midbus as his new rookie. It'd be morbidly funny to have them use each other as a replacement goldfish for the team member they lost aka Popple replacing Bowser with Midbus and Midbus replacing Fawful with Popple.

I want Wario and Waluigi to join the Mario Bros! I've dreamt of a game like that since Partners In Time! They could give us Triple Attacks and Quadruple Attacks! Then, there's also a special meter like we had in Super Mario RPG and once we fill it, we can call on Peach and Bowser to do special attacks! This would come in major handy. Especially, in boss battles! Instead of a hard mode. I want difficulty settings! Then we get to choose how easy or hard we want the game! I would love to choose the hardest mode because I can definitely handle a hard mode in a Mario game, considering they are typically easy. Mario & Luigi games aren't typically easy, though. They do have some tough bosses. I remember struggling against Hermie III in Superstar Saga, but then again, I was also a teenager. I'm able to beat bosses more easily in Mario RPG games. So, I'd love the challenge of being able to select a harder mode. Especially, if I can select the hardest mode. They should also allow you to switch modes for people who are struggling and want an easier mode. Also, Mario & Luigi games are well-known for being long. Especially, Superstar Saga. So, I want the game to be long. So, that I don't beat it within a couple weeks, or a few weeks. I want it to take me at least a few months to beat the main story. A post story mode would be great, too. Re-battling the bosses would be great. Especially, if they are harder.

Honestly, I'd love to see co-op in Brothership.

Co op would be horrible for m+l imo, youd just end up fighting each other on where to go, and combat would definitely lose some fun factor because the attacks are infinitely easier just needing to focus on your side. Thats why the combat is fun for me, I have to control both bros and react quick to succeed.

I’m gonna say it, I think the hammer attack where Mario rears the hammer back and Luigi smacks him forward and the jump move that Mario does where Luigi boosts him aren’t bros attacks, but the new standard Hammer and Jump. I could be wrong, obviously, but my theory is based on the speculation this game is going to have two player co-op. The developers probably don’t want the Luigi player just sitting there while Mario does his jump or hammer, and vice versa. And even if the game isn’t co-op, this just seems like the kind of small tweak to the gameplay they do to flesh it out a little more while keeping true to the series roots. Also, no Bowser side mode- PEACH Side mode. She already has a crew, having Peach be in the lead slot in a Mario and Luigi game in a Bowser’s Minions kinda gameplay thing would be interesting, since she usually just acts as a support base and gets kidnapped.

@@spookysushi4079 difference is that in SS, fawful is knocked out of the castle. in BiS, he explodes on screen and nothing is left of him. Surely he couldn’t survive the SS fall, but he probably just activated his headgear. Either way, Fawful’s story came to a satisfying end and I honestly don’t want his story to continue as I don’t think it could continue in a fufilling way

Tbh I’m surprised you didn’t say anything about Peach’s role in these games. In literally every M&L title she gets sidetracked way too much. I’m hoping she has more of an active role within this game - especially since some details about the game said that both Peach and Bowser will help you in the game

Before Brothership was announced, I had some ideas how a remake of Partners in Time could look like. Maybe some will be in Brothership - Animations when starting the game or Mario and Luigi saying "Nintendo" like in the first three games - 3 save slots like in Superstar Saga - A music player option you can select when choosing a save file - Four difficulties: easy, normal, hard, and super hard. Like in Dream Team, in hard mode you can only have 10 items of each, in super hard just 5. - A option to deactivate this Kaboom Damage effect. I really found it annoying in the RPG remake you couldn't deactivate it. - Fast select for the overworld abilities like in Superstar Saga+Bowser's Minions via the D-Pad on the left joycon - Return of Bonus Stats when leveling up - A minimap when pushing the - button on the left joycon - A option to save when pushing the + button - The return of those postcard pictures that show different parts of the islands or Shipshape Island when saving, like in Partners in Time - A skip option for cutscenes (+ button)/a forward button for (story) conversations (L or ZL or R or ZR button) - A session during the story where Mario and Luigi get separated and you control just Mario, like when Luigi gets kidnapped by Popple in Superstar Saga - A animation screen for the Concordian shopkeepers, similar to the Toad shopkeepers in Paper Jam - No Starlow - Peach NOT being kidnapped during the entire game - The appearance and return of Toadiko from Partners in Time - The debut of a Mario character in the series, like Daisy, Rosalina or Wario - If the Elite Trio is in Brothership, a boss battle against them. I really liked their battle in Dream Team - Appearances of Kamek and Bowser Jr.. Not the Koopalings - References and Mentionings of the other M&L games

The only thing I don't want to see is daisy. That character is an atrocity.

Honestly, Dream Team didn't though a good job at bringing back characters. The Hoolians looked and acted completly differently from their Superstar Saga appearance. Both Popple and Kyley Koopa, despite coming back, have lost their original personalities. So if any characters do return, I would want them to be well written, and match their original personalities. But younknow who should return? Well, this game is literally called Brothership. It's definitely themed around Brotherhood. And you know what other game was themed around Brotherhood? Superstar Saga. Mario and Luigi have met A LOT of sibblings in that game - Starshade Bros, Border Bros, Hammerhead Bros, the two french bros from the soda place, the Jellyfish Sisters... And Dream Team had the Massif Bros - they were quite memorable. So bringing back some iconic siblings would definitely be very fitting for this game. I want the Bros Attacks to return to the fancy acrobatic moves from Superstar Saga, and not just using special items. We saw something like that in the trailer, so I'm hoping it is a confirmation of that, and we'll get some good variety of them. Have a variety of minigames, and reward you for replaying them on harder difficulty levels, like in Superstar Saga. Bow about brewing coffee from beans, why not bring that back. Bring back the level up bonuses. Paper Jam removed them, which removed character customization. Bring that back. Bring back the badge system from Dream Team, because that was perfect. There's probably many more, but I'll stop here.

It probably won’t happen but man, with all those brothers I kinda want to see Wario and his (Not-) Brother have some sort of appearance.
