Hi Jessica, I've been considering switching to software engineering. I have a masters degree in biochemistry and I've noticed alot of coding jobs seem to want a degree in cs or engineering. Do you think I am at a disadvantage/will be in the future if I do switch?

Hi! I talk all about this in my latest q&a video, linked here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oJeGla-xoruZcZc.html
if you're someone who likes to help people do you think being a software engineer is a good career? thats the only reason i'm holding back on this decision to study coding. is it fulfilling? are you servicing others somehow?

As long as you are passionate about the product you are working on then yes it is definitely fulfilling.
Hi Jessica, not sure if this was asked already, but if so please direct me into the right direction :) but how long did it take for you to practice on freecode and codeacademy before deciding you were ready for bootcamp? also do you think part time/full time bootcamp from home is achievable given the times we are in? tia!

Hi tia! I actually didn’t spend too much time on code academy before deciding to start boot camp 😅 I kinda just jumped right in and yes I think it’s definitely achievable! Hopefully they will assign you a great mentor to help you through your studies
