I actually DID quit all social media in August, except youtube and goodreads. I didn't just take a break....I CLOSED the accounts. It did simplify and calm my daily life. I was only using it to promote my books. I finally decided not to promote on those 3. And if my books don't sell....I just don't worry anymore.😏 Whew. 😄What a difference now.

I have greatly reduced my time on FB because without realizing valuable time was flying out the window. But the straw that broke the camels back was when a person I know my whole life thought I was in an ER because one day I was too busy filming my YT videos and not on FB ( as if I am supposed to be there!!) I feel so much better away from that merry go round! I felt like I was living in a fishbowl and being stared at all day! Lol

I LOVE THAT WORD "SIMPLE" simple is usually 100% right all the time. so great advice! I decided 8 years ago to make that a priority in how I live. That includes listening or following people that try making my life more difficult. We all have family and friends that do this. I told them how I was changing and when I see them imposing their difficulty on me I told them. They stopped. Its a win win situation for me.

@@koosbusters2348 Good example in a world of social media drama. There are some people that will have issues with people on a daily basis. NO matter what day of the week you talk to them they will be telling a story of how someone said something to them or did something to them that requires alot of time and effort on my part just listening. I will listen a few times but then I will stop them in their tracks - these people bleed the life out of me. I used to have compassion for them, I would listen to their story and try to give them helpful advice that they never listen too and the drama goes on and on . I finally tell them the rules I want to follow for a simple life. Tell me how you and your family are doing , what we can do productively to get your mind out of your funk and continue to grow as family or friends. Its amazing just by setting up a line in the sand how things can change with some people. I do care about some things, but I dont need to hear about the fight on facebook or twitter that most of the time they caused, Some people just like living in that despair 24/7 and they have to be right on everything instead of letting go . It was like a light switching on when I did that. I found my true social network actually increased and the drama queens fell at the side. I still see these people from time to time but thir drama is still alive and well and the friends they moved on to say the same things I said. Draining. My best friends for 35 years almost all have the same simple outlook. The old saying if you want to see what type of person you are just look at the people you hang around with. 1. I have a tendency to hang with people that are frugal or they dont mind a frugal person in their group. Yeap that is easier said than done. We cook for each other instead of eating out. saves tons of money. Its like a married couple with kids have a tendency to hang with other married folk with children. 2. My family and I grow our own garden and I like the serenity of being outside with nature instead of watching television we play board games and actually talk about what we did that day and what we will be doing in the future. We create our own goals. Most people dont have goals. Thats why I like this channel 3. Being materialistic isnt a big priority with us. We dont need the latest and greatest gadget to make our life more productive. We use things until we cannot repair them then buy a new one or used one. Saves a ton of money . 4. Think outside the box and enjoy life instead of watching the kardatians and living your life through their tv. (as an example) as much as you might think you dont do that you probably are not aware how much tv you consume or how much social media you follow.

You do give great advice ! I only buy from items on a sale paper. I know my prices and I buy lots of it. for instance : 2 pounds of flash frozen veggies 1.50 per bag a few times a year. I can them lasts for a few years. store your ry goods in mason jars. Prevents air and bugs from infecting them can last a lot longer. If you are a cheese eater buy block cheese and grate them yourself, then you can freeze it grated or in blocks. that comes on sale 3 times a year 8 oz for 1.5 Think outside the box ! switch to a bidet in your bathroom. you can buy one online that attaches to your existing toilet. no more toilet paper. Americans that switch to one will never use toilet paper again. so much cleaner!

I do shop regularly but long life and canned items are bought in huge quantities about once or twice a year to minimise delivery costs as I do not have a car, which is big money saver. Then meat I will buy monthly, freezing for use as I need it. Vegetables are bought as needed so there is no food waste at all. Batch cooking and storing the excess in the freezer means I can go for weeks without actually shopping except for fresh milk.

I have an upright freezer that has a different cubby hole for different types of foods. Veggies, meats, lasagnas, broth, etc. My pantry is also made up the same way with meats I buy on sale and can myself, veggies, beans, etc. I invested in a large pressure canner/cooker so I can cook a boston butt pork raost in 1 hour or cann then in a jar. 88 cents a pound a few times a year. chuck meat comes on sale 190 pound twice a year i buy 50 pounds when that happens. Within minutes all I do is pull out a meat, vegetable, dessert and within 20 minutes my family and I are eating. Also I used to pack ziplock bags of foods prepared to put in a crockpot. pre measured and all ready to go.

Yes you can have your debts remove fast without being an expert. Just contact Binaryreap3r@gmail.com who is the best expert when it comes to clearing debts, credit score fix, bank account hacks, bitcoin recovery, etc. You have to talk to the right guys to get the right results.

I have found automated bill pay to be dangerous!! Companies can and DO make errors, even banks, and you can have double payments come out and destroy your account balance. One woman who works for the local power company was on autopay with them- they doubled up her payment and it overdrafted her account-- and the electric company, (who was also her employer-!) refused to reimburse. The bank would not reimburse the overdraft fees because it was not bank error. My daughter also had an automatic transfer to savings which the bank was doubling up on and caused her to overdraft several times, even after her repeated calls to the bank, and several times in which she was told it was handled and would not happen again. It kept happening and did finally get resolved - but they kept hundreds of dollars in fees which they had no right to. That account is finally closed. I would much rather stay on top of what is being drafted from my account as it happens. And I only WISH my services were within 5 miles... :(

That is so true! I recently called to check my credit card balance. I was supposed to have a zero balance. I was surprised to find I had a $203 balance. I called up to find out what that was about. They said it was a charge from my cellphone company…I had already pre-paid them for the year using a pre-paid Visa card; five days later, someone at that company illegally charged my regular credit card, even though I’m not signed up for automatic payments. I got right onto them telling them I want my money back. They said it would take 10 days. I said this transaction was done illegally, without my consent, so it should be put back right away…I think I scared them because a day or so later, I checked my account and it was back to zero! Wow, it really showed me how I really need to watch all of my accounts like a hawk; if I hadn’t, I would have had a cell phone bill for the year for 406 dollars!

Its is dangerous to "cancel" credit cards! QUIT USING THEM! if you CANCEL/Close them..thats like hanging yourself finanially on your trw/credit reports! CUT THE CARDS UP And do NOT request replacements... when you cancel them you close the age of your credit and the number of accounts open which raises your score pay them off pay them down pay the smallest one off first and then keep going pay them down pay them down that lowers your credit to debt ratio

I want more than one cheching account to divide my money up amonst things but my bank will only let me have 1 checking account 1 savings and then many credit accouts when I only asked for the one. Since I can't have many checking accounts how do I do a envelop system like thing for the one checking account? so far my strategy has been a massive spredsheeg but I keep touching that money for other things

I have to disagree on getting rid of your service professionals if you have to travel a bit farther--especially if you love them, you've used them for years and built up a relationship where they know you and have your best interests at heart. If that isn't the case, then by all means change to someone closer to where you live. But saving a few bucks in this case isn't always the wisest and best answer.

On average we grocery shop every two weeks. We raise our own livestock so the majority of our meat we raise ourselves. The rest we hunt. We raise our own chickens for eggs and meat. So our shopping list is some canned fruits and veggies, and fresh fruits and veggies plus dairy items. The canned stuff is only stuff we generally don’t grow and can or freeze from our own garden. For two adults and two kids.. soon 3 kids. Our average grocery bill per month is between $300-$350 per month. Within a year I will be getting a dairy goat and cow. So that will reduce the dairy cost significantly. 😊I know not everyone wants to or can be in my situation, but it’s the way I grew up and it’s a great feeling to be able to supply your own food regularly for your family.

I like the idea of auto payments. For me it's safer to just call and pay the bill. Especially after just having a scammer getting almost $400 out of my account. They tried to take out almost $12,000. I definitely get the idea of saving gas by going to local medical places. We drive an hour to our daughter's pediatric dentist office, It's only twice a year. They are that AMAZING it's worth the drive because our daughter ABSOLUTELY LOVES going there. We make it a day by having one or more of our appointments too. As well as going out to eat (that's the ONLY time we go out to eat). It's a nice reward for NO CAVITIES! ;)
