    Starbucks barista here. You can just as for a pup cup which is the little sample cup filled with whip cream. It's totally free and we are encouraged to offer it to people with dogs but are just as happy to give you one for your kiddos 😊. This last Christmas we had a sugar cookie latte that got topped with red and green sprinkles. I'd offer the kids a pup cup with sprinkles on top 🥰

    My hubby and I sometimes go to Jason's Deli (in Texas) and split a great fresh meal with leftovers for about $15. We order a large BBQ baked potato cut in half (they will put it on separate plates) and a 1 trip salad bar (a chilled bowl that we load up with our favorite salad goodies and jalapenos for the BBQ), and two ice waters. We put lemon in our water, ask for an extra small bowl for dressing, use the provided small plates for complimentary gingerbread muffins and garlic toast, then have dessert of chocolate or vanilla soft serve ice cream sprinkled with nuts from the salad bar. We end up taking a large part of the salad and potato home for a nice supper later.

    Wow, super great hacks, Matt!! My husband and I are seniors and don't eat nearly as much as we used to as "kids." We almost always split a meal whether it's fast food or in a restaurant. Ordering a kids meal is cheaper and asking them to add lettuce and tomato to a burger usually comes with no added cost. We don't eat out a lot, but your fast food hacks definitely make it more enjoyable. Thanks for being so AWESOME and looking out for us consumers!!😋💗

    As a former chic-fil-a worker, I bet you could add anything (within reason) to that special order box on the mobile app and get it without paying extra. Since you’re dealing with the app and it’s a bit of a hassle for a non-management employee to alter it in-store, I bet your success rate will be quite high…unless they patch it out of the app.

    Not fast food, but the burgers in the kids meals at Applebees are the same size as the adult ones, or at least look the same. When I get it for carry out sometimes the fries are the same amount too, but it varies depending on who packs it I guess. I have four kids, but often only get two or three meals because it’s so much food. Plus you get a little drink with the kids meals. Obviously this is only a hack that will work with to go orders. Thanks for all the tips!

    Your fast food employee disclaimer is greatly appreciated. As a CFA employee I am privy to the fact that the company operates on franchises, which means any operator can alter rules and prices to the leisure within reason. Basically, yeah at one location a hack might work, but at another it might not. The store I work at actually has the cookie crumble button off, and when someone asks for extra cookie we are told to use the chocolate syrup button and charge $.20.

    Hi Matt! Love your videos! I do have to ask for a correction though. I work at Sam’s and please please please do not tell people to go in through the exit door. This can be a nightmare for the people working the doors, especially during busy times. You do not need a membership for the cafe, pharmacy or liquor. All you have to do is tell the person at the door that you are going to the cafe and you can go right in. Please be kind to the people that are working these positions. I actually changed departments so that I do not have to work the doors anymore.

    Hey Matt, don't throw out those Burger King coupons. Even if they've expired, most employees will still accept the coupons. Last I checked, they never change the codes. And on the app, just screenshot the code. Don't know if things have changed, but it's been true for years. Bonus tip: when using the paper coupon, ask if you can have it back when they're done. At my old BK, they just threw out the coupons.

    The Single Cheese at Wendy's uses their larger burger patty (officially a 4 ounce patty). The Double Stack uses the smaller patty used in the Junior burgers (officially a 1.78 ounce patty). So you're not getting an extra patty with the DoubleStack. Your deal still works though because you're getting the same amount of meat (roughly) and toppings in both, but the bun and patties on the DoubleStack are smaller.

  • @miamiceprincess
    @miamiceprincess Жыл бұрын

    I checked out the Dave's (Wendy's) single vs Double Stack and you are right...it's a money saver, but you do get a little less meat. The Double Stack has 2-1.78 oz patties and the single has 1-4 oz. patty.

    Matt, I have a hack for you... At Culver's just like the ones you talked about in the video get the kids meal. Same size fries. Same size burger but smaller drink with their kids meal. You get a free scoop or chocolate or vanilla custard for free and it's like $6.19 by me. I'm starting to buy that for myself. It's perfect portion you don't overeat which we tend to do with bigger sizes and get free dessert. And they're custard's amazing and if you get it to go sometimes they don't take that free scoop of ice cream off your bag. Then you get another free scoop of ice cream ta-da!!!!! Had to share with you. Matt, God bless

    Another way to save money I've found is using the coupons that come in the mail. We went to Arby's last night and ordered 6 sandwiches, 1 9 piece nuggets, 3 fries and 3 drinks which came to $50 before coupons but after adding them ended up paying only $22 for everything!

    Some places just outright refuse to accept coupons now because of stuff like this. Checking if they accept coupons to start is now mostly required at places to avoid them making your food during the order, then you not wanting to pay for it.

I think what's most mind boggling is why places are giving kids the exact same size serving as a full grown adult. Granted a lot of kids won't eat it all, but at the same time, it's no wonder that weight is a growing problem with today's adolescents.

    Dominos has a similar deal right now in some locations. Check for coupons on the website. A large pizza (14") with three toppings is $7.99. Even their recent half price promotion with the same pizza and toppings cost more. There is a choice of several crust types. If you want to reduce carbs, their thin crisp crust helps. The Brooklyn style is somewhere in between that and the regular hand tossed. Their pizza has improved over the years. It is online order and carry out only.

    When it comes to sandwiches, my hack is buying a loaf of garlic herb bread from the bakery section of Walmart for 1.00-1.10, scoop out some of the excess bread (Optional, cover scooped bread pieces in garlic herb butter and toast them in the oven with a little mozzarella) buy a pack of turkey, some bacon, provolone and French fried onions. All together will be less than 15 dollars. Usually enough turkey for 2 sandwiches, enough bacon for a few sandwiches, enough french fried onions for a few sandwiches. So either buy a few loaves of bread and freeze some of them or just buy the bread and turkey fresh as you need since bacon and French fried onions have a long shelf life

    The Starbucks one just ask for a “ pupuccino” and it’s always been free when I get it for my pup ❤️ At Wendy’s I loved the classic chicken sandwich but it’s way to big so now I order the $2 crispy chicken sandwich, it has lettuce and mayo and they will add tomato for free ( I also sub honey mustard instead of mayo though, it’s so much better I recommend trying ) and is more than enough I still can’t always finish it. Lastly you can also use the Costco pharmacy without a membership as well, some things you do get an extra discount on prescriptions with the membership but you still save alot, especially when you check their good RX prices/coupons before you go. 😀

    About coupons... be careful, SOME employees will refuse them, even if they are still good. Happened to me at BK. Did the survey, got the code for the free whopper, took it that weekend and the employee tried to refuse it.. said that shop doesn't accept coupons from receipts. I said fine and was going to pay, but the manager was JUST in earshot and heard the cashier refuse it. SHE scolded the cashier and entered the coupon.
