The answer to the ember: Since Uma and Mal are childhood friends, nobody could get as close to either of the girls as they are. Not even their love interests. Since they are so close, their power works a lot more then just double the amount of power. Basically, the answer is friendship.

I think because they were both born demi god (well i dont know what's lower than a demi god is called for uma) and if you think about it mal should have been uma's aunt since uma's grandpa is poseidon and mal's dad is hades, that would also make uma and ariel cousins, then mal woud also be considered ariel's aunt.

in my opinion,the ember was fix by uma because she belonged to the sea when shes an octopus and the reason the shell glowed was because it belongs to the ocean,the ember was wet and uma was the only one who could save it because she is the one who carried the ember in the shell,so maybe the embers wet content was still in the shell

I think that maybe since uma and mal are both basically half gods, their power together is so strong that they can become a whole god

I love watching these because they uncover the stuff nobody has ever seen in Descendants

My opinion about the ember getting wet in the well then Mal using it is that Uma’s shell necklace glowed after Mal breathed fire on the ember and Uma chanted “ Regain your might and ignite” and Mal started using it on Audrey

If I'm understanding descendants and how the whole thing works, Mal is queen over everything but they have different parts of Auradon that have their own leaders. Kinda like how America has the president and each state has a governor. So I think that yeah Mal is queen, but Uma is the head of the isle and reports to Mal. The same way we see Jasmine do it in D2.

I think the reason uma could catch the amber was because she was in her magical form and her magic may not be as strong as Mal's or her father but is enough to keep the amber going for a while

we miss cameron boyce *rest in peace* we love you so much

All I know is that I love decendents 1,2 and 3 and if they were to make another 4 it would be amazing and hopefully show their kids, but I pray they do not replace Cameron's part (carlos) because he owned that role.

For the ember it can be explained in a way but it depend on if disney took this into account or not. Ursulas parents are never mentioned but in once upon a time they say her father is poseidon which is the god of the sea and if you go with this logic then it means that hades and ursulas father are brothers making hades ursulas uncle. Which would make mal and uma first cousins once removed and also would make uma part demigod so if you go with this theory then that means mal and umas combined demigod powers helped to bring the ember back.
