I've always been deeply suspicious of the clear stamps, but the existence of a clear acrylic base is making me rethink things. Also, yes, this is a helpful style of video! Please do more of these, telling us what stationery supplies might go together in ways we hadn't considered!

Cheap pencil cap alternative, those arrow-shaped erasers you can get for like a $1 for a pack of 20 of em! Just stab em on your pencil lead and toss it in your bag.

Great idea. I use the caps of my local use and throw pens, they fit perfectly.

i use black sharpie pens and highlight them with crayola twistables. the crayons don’t smudge the ink which already dries very fast. plus you can partially erase the wax if you make a mistake. these products are much more readily available and budget-friendly for me so i’m very content with them.

Budget-friendly compared to what? I like Sharpie pens, but I find they're pretty pricy compared to most of the ballpoint, rollerball and gel options you'll see in this community. I will say when I worked claims and receiving, they were perfect because they wrote exceptionally well on standard receipt paper, while also being fine for normal copy paper.

An otp of mine is pentel energel x kokuyo campus sarasara loose leaf paper! Paper’s the perfect thickness so that not much will ghost, and the ink glides over just the right amount! (But with a right amount of give so it’s not too smooth that it’s uncontrollable) I love using that pair for notes

rOtring 600 Ballpoint + Jetstream SXR-600-07. My all-time favorite ballpoint pen combo. It is perfect.

my otp is the Midori MD diary calendar stickers and the Stalogy 5mm masking tape dots uwu. The small calendars stickers fit perfectly in my traveler's notebook and the Stalogy stickers are the right size for the small boxes and allow for a quick reminder of important dates/assignments.

my OTP is the last one you mentioned, mark on and mild liners!! the pen also works great with frixion highlighters since it won’t smudge even if you erase the highlighter on top!

I really like how nicely the 30ml Diamine bottles fit with the Pineider pen filler. Instead of the reservoir that comes with it, I can attach an entire ink bottle to it and be good to go!

Uni Kuratoga (0.5 ofc) and the Pentel ain stein lead in 4B, so you can get your lead down almost into a point if you use it enough

MT washi tape (or any washi tape for that matter) and the Pilot Twin Marker! I love using it to make my own labels using washi tape. I'm also a fan of the Sarasa Mark On (I was beside myself when I lost my black one this month and promptly ordered two more) and highlighters. I recently got more of the Mildliner colours and I love the variety!

With a little patience and practice you can fully fill a TWSBI Vac from any ink bottle (that’s big enough to fit the pen - looking at you, diamine 30ml 🤣). That said, the Vac20A makes it SO MUCH EASIER! (picture jack black in jumanji for the energy in those words) Love your videos!

stabilo highlighters + felt tips + fineliners all use the same color codes. so you can have the same colors as highlighters/fineliners/felttip pens. There are some exceptions but overall this is the case. Apprrenently not all people know this.

I personally really like Sharpie/Pentel EnerGel pens with any highlighter bc the ink doesn't smear.

How did you know my other favorite channel is "How It's Made" ? (though most of the things made are from Canada....)

I actually prefer using Z grips with my zebra mildliners. I can get some cool color combinations for my journal entries and planners. They brighten up my daily planner quite a bit.

Washi Tape + Tape Cutter is the best pair I seen for now! It’s really useful and efficient for people that use Washi Tape daily and often.

Did I know hobonichi planners come with accessories? Please, I only buy them for the accessories XD

My OTP is Traveler's Co sticker release paper notebook insert and bande washi stickers. I like to put one of each design of my bande washi stickers into my TC sticker release paper notebook which I keep in my TN to have access to all my stickers without having to carry all the washi rolls with me. The stickers are a good size for me to use to mark a new days entry in my TN or to add decoration to a monthly page.

Muji 0.5 pens with Hobonichi paper work really nicely. They write thin lines that are great for the hobonichi and I find don't skip compared to the 0.4 energel clena some use on the tombo river paper.

my otp is kokuyo campus smart ring binder (with the kokuyo campus ruled looseleaf) and zebra sarasa mark on now, to start that binder is amazing, slim, and lightweight. and as you know, zebra sarasa mark on doesnt smudge. so i love that pen. BUT the ink isnt as smooth as the clip and the kokuyo campus paper is soo smooth and zebra sarasa mark on just glides across the paper

The Tack notes, is it the A5 or the B6 slim versions they fit? I keep trying but these are constantly sold out.

Pilot frixion pens are a perfect match with wathever highligther, though ink is more like a dark gray than black [mark-on is similar on this, said to me a friend]. Plus if your hometown has a really hot summer, ink could be vanished [F for frixion].

I wonder if a blackwing cap couldfit on a rotring 600. The rotring 600 lead sleeve is pointy and fragile so Iv’e been using a cheap pen cap on it’s protection, but this seems like it could be better

Can I start the journal in a vertical chair?

I'll take having to highlight with Mildline before I write (highlight then write on top) before I give up my Pilot Frixion pens. You can pry them from my cold dead hands.

For my notes, I love the Mark+ Two Way Highlighters, the Orenz 0.5 Mechanical Pencil, The 0.5 Tombow Mono Graph Shaker Pencil, and believe it or not, the Paper Mate Profile 1.4b pen. I found it hard to find a pen that I liked, and honestly, it dries really fast, doesn't smudge with highlighters, and it's really cheap ᕙ(`▿´)ᕗ

I put my washi tape in scotch tape dispensers, they're $1 and they work great.

I'll buy this stuff when I'll become rich 😎

Are there bundles like "a notebook and wooden pencil with eraser" ?

Clairefountaine notebookswith Pelikan Pelikano Junior or Pilot Kaküno fountain pen

TWSBI Eco or AL Diamond + Rohrer & Klingner Sketch Ink -- I had trouble finding a perfect combination of a waterproof FP ink that can withstand highlighters for writing, but also can be used as a liner for art especially under washes of watercolor. I wanted it to be one FP that I also carry for writing anyway, rather than to carry a couple of different fineliners. I've tried using R&K Sketch Ink in Pilot Kakuno, and it just ruined the pen. But when I realized that TWSBI pens can keep even shimmering inks and monster sheeners like Organics Studio inks for months without clogging or drying, I realized that it might be able to withstand R&K Sketch without getting ruined. It has been SO GREAT to be able to have a fountain pen that I don't need to worry about it not being waterproof, but I also don't have to worry about the ink drying in the pen and clogging the feed.

The Zebra Sarasa Mark on doesn't actually work for me... It always smudges, even after waiting for a minute. I've tried a lot of highlighters on it and I always get the same result, and it's very scratchy. Anyone else with the same problem?

Yeah, I’ve heard some of my friends having a bad experience with them. I personally use the pentel energel refills in a preferred body! It really does dry completely after 1-2 seconds (though you might want to wait a few more seconds if you want to highlight, esp with mildliners). I recommend the needle tip as well, although it doesn’t serve much of a purpose and I just like needle tip pens in general. Lmk if you want pen body recommendations!

@@studyjournalselfdev I prefer Z grips with mildliners, but they're my go to pen for almost everything. I mostly use gel rolls for making highlights or additional patterns in my artwork. I recently got a set of black ones to experiment with.
