10 Special Effects you can use in your Brickfilms
Фильм және анимация
Do you want to know how to do special effects in your Lego stop motion animation? Watch this video to find out how to animate a ghost, an earthquake, ice skating, wheel spin, a windy day, sinking sand, a "big eyes" facial expression, a "gone with a flash" minifigure dash, and how to simulate a tracking shot without ever moving your camera.
This video is a collaboration with Lights Camera and Lego. You can find their channel here:

The ice rink is clever because there are times when you forget where the minifigure has just been so with the paper you can see that. I guess you could also do something similar with footprints

There are a couple of wonderful ideas for special effects without using VFX in this video. Especially the skating effect is a good idea. I can imagine doing some footprints with this technique in my own stop-motion movies. Thanks for sharing this.
The ice skating one gave me an idea, if I have a piece of paper, then I can put little tracks on it as the lego minifigure walks, I bet I could do that with snow angels too, but thanks for the idea!

How to fall into a hole 5. Or maybe a football game 6. Or a lightning strike 7. How do you let a building burn? 8. How can a dragon breathe fire?

As for 7 I'm preparing short "background segments". Two of them are usually visible in the shot, and when one is no longer visible, I move it to the front, sometimes with some modification to look at least partially different.
