The Hacks : 1. Have an elevated bed to store things under it 2. Use your vertical space : decor, shelves, organization 3. Use light furnitures rather than dark ones 4. Put mirrors to reflect light and add « space » 5. Have plants, add life in your space 6. DECLUTTER your space, put things in baskets 7. Separate your space to define areas : rug, wallpaper.. 8. Layer your pieces (for exemple cushions under the coffee table, baskets, storage...) 9. Use organizational means in other designated way : bathroom organization for your kitchen etc... 10. Add texture : pillows, furnitures, carpets, blankets... You’re welcome ;)

Another tip is to use furniture with legs. So it won't look too bulky in a small space
@jjbowman4653
4 жыл бұрын
Felicia Tang it doesn’t necessarily need legs as they can make a piece look cheap, it just needs to look thinner, thinner arms, maybe it’s taller, thinner back, you can bulk it up and add the cozying that is taken away with chunky throws and pillows 😇👌

Smart
Favorite is probably storing upward-a Japanese concept of building upward due to the lack of horizontal space. And I love the gallery wall!
Use a small wooden ladder, leaning on a wall for hanging blankets/throws ... or standing as shelving for books or decor items or plants. 😀
With number eight, something I’ve seen again and again that makes city apartments look a lot more spacious. Design your living room suit around not having a coffee table. Even a few feet of wide-open space can give a smaller apartment that large loft open concept look. Go with end tables and removable tables for entertaining or meals if eating in the living room is your thing.
Loved adding texture and plants to a small space. It is always elevates the look and makes it more homie

My personal experience with Tip 9: I used an over-the-toilet rack in my small kitchen! It worked perfectly with the kitchen tall trash can underneath and the shelves for fruits and vegetables that don't need to stay in the fridge and so many more.

I absolutely adore you! You not only created a “to the point” video, but you added plenty of detail and explanation behind each point. And your voice is so inviting! ❤ keep up the amazing work.
I'm sorry, I loved this in his living room makeover video as well, but 3:14 when the fox has a hat, it's so cute!
Never thought of getting bed risers and storing full suitcases under it. Great tip!!!!
A tip I found for lightening up your furniture: covers. Couch covers for brightening up a dark couch. Cushion covers to change up your aesthetic as you wish. Tablecloths to switch on the season/holiday/week, all different colors. Covering something with a light fabric (not too heavy, cuz then it feels weighted and, well, heavy) brings in that brightness he discussed in tip 3. Also helps bring in the texture discussed in tip 10, and you can switch it out to get different coziness vibes depending on your mood/preference (idk I'm an indecisive person 🙃)
Hi Drew, I have seen a lot of interior design videos, including yourself. However, I have never seen 1 video that shows what to do with all the diplomas, awards, and throphies one might have. I'd like to display them at my home office since I worked so hard to get them, but I don't know how, so it doesn't look tacky. Can you advise what to do, or please do a video to show some ideas. I hope you can read this. Thanks 😊
Love them all & so so useful: - elevated bed for storage -mirrors & gallery - organizational shelving

I just recently moved into a loft apartment . I was desperately searching for some ideas about to work with smaller places. I was delighted to find your video and found it to be very helpful . keep on doing what your doing! You have wonderful ideas!
You are couch an inspiration ❤ It’s just unbelievable how you went from “I don’t have a storage room” to “I’m remaking my Spanish dupex, should I do the lobby or the movie room?” I can’t imagine how proud you must be ❤❤❤
You seem like you have your life together so much and I live for it you are goals
Thanks Drew. I always had a lot of junk, and now aspiring to be more simplistic, and got rid of a lot of extra things I did not need. Can still be very simple ,and very functional, and I love it.
Great tips! Making use of the space you do have is really important
*I LOVE this. Such useful and practical tips that can easily be applied to most homes and apartments.*
Getting my first apartment with my boyfriend and baby on the way! Thank you for the tips!!!
Finally an actual video on this!! Everyone else just rambles, but you’re concise & to the point 🤍
I love the energy and happiness that you present. I have used all of your tips at some point in my life and they all work great.
Hi Drew, very useful video for me! I just brought my first place - a one-bedroom flat in the UK. It is very small, but it's mine, and I'm going to make it my own space.
great video... only one I can think of not mentioned with verticle space is shelving along bathroom walls about foot below ceiling for towels, products extra tp etc ... love your content!!!
You give me a great idea for doing a living room I was trying to figure out how to do a living room setting in a very tiny place also I think the multiplicity of textures like you said in the coziness gives diversity which also gives interest plus kind of like a depth you know there's more going on without it appearing too busy so that can make it appear bigger too no like different visual textures and feels
this is helping me out with designing my new house, once again! drew, i thank you 🙌🏼
Thank you for your video. One do not have to bye new furniture if they are dark. Just put white or light colour pillows on them.

Absolutely love the space you said was behind your bed and then you said something about it being organized. Mine is exactly the same. I have stuff so it's just there squeezed in. I just can't imagine how people without stuff live. It must be a truly boring existence. To each his on so that's ok. My space (s) is never boring.
I am so in love with your assortment style and taste, it's sad. I literally am taking notes. Just perfect placement and complimentary elements. 🤦🏾♀️🤗

Love you! Fell instantly in love with your and your channel! Looking forward to more!
Great advice, Lone Fox! My place is 860 square feet (not tiny, but not large). I would like to add that your hacks for making small spaces look bigger actually work for even somewhat larger spaces. Obviously, a barren half-empty look isn't good, either - but people who feel the need to make their spaces feel bigger (even if they aren't really small to begin with) can use your principles to do so. And it seems that, regardless of a place's size, more storage is ALWAYS a good thing. So thank you for what you do!
Going to our first apartment soon and these tips inspired me ! I can't wait to make the space our home
Watching this for my dorm in London. So I‘m looking for extra small. Still very helpful though.
Your apartment is so freaking cute omg!!!

Very great advice. The gallery wall to draw the eye up. I just wish I had more walls. But I do have 9 foot ceilings
Thank u I needed this I have a very small room and a lot of stuff 😅
Lone ! This is awesome . Love how I brought in relief (and glamour ) for small condo dwellers 😍😍
I loved all of the tips especially the using lighter colors and adding the plants.
I live in a house with a living/dining combination area and a small family room. I LOVE the idea of storing ottomans under a console.
Lol when your early and your trying to think of something smart or funny to comment XD
Platform beds are hard to navigate. In many ways. I like a regular height bed with open space around it.
I have always enjoyed your videos. They are informative, simple with elegance ,a touch of humor, most of all always inviting . Thank you for all the inspiration you project to your viewers.
Utilizing wall space, and having plants, are great suggestions - thanks!
That fox actually looks like you, so cute.
