His story is more about someone mentally ill than a documentary of nature and bears.

Since I was a child I hated seeing on TV bullfighting, I just couldn't look at. I'm 54 now and gladly bullfighting has been disappearing in my country. I hope that one day, that horrific show will be only a far away remembrance. I hate people using animals in circus or wherever they use them to amuse a bunch of ignorants. Of course there are incidents that are not expected. A few days ago there was a new on TV and newspapers related to a 90 old lady who was bitten to death by two dogs she rescued and was taking care of since they were puppies.

No animal should be caged. The only Orcas that have attacked humans are those that are in captivity. We don’t have the right to take them out of their natural habitats. Help them when needed, absolutely, however they need to be returned to their natural habitats.

Timothy Treadwells death was his own fault due to his own arrogance and stupidity. Had he left when he was supposed to he wouldn't have died. Had he taken any recommended precautions the outcome could have been different. But he didn't and his arrogance got not only himself killed but also his girlfriend

I talked to a woman that worked with stingrays and she said that for the ray to have gotten Steve Irwin like it did meant that he had cornered it. They stab forward, not upward so the story that he was above the ray and was stabbed could not be true. He had to have been in front of it and it felt threatened with nowhere to go.

That one caught me off guard, I was trying to picture it in my head, a bunch of oysters gathered around with pitch forks and torches - "ok guys we know we're on borrowed time here so we gotta act fast " 😂" our goal is to release the poison" 😂. Humans aren’t particularly strong or fast. Our hearing, vision and sense of smell are pathetic by comparison to animals. So when incidents like some of these happens the thought of “you asked for it”comes to mind….

Was not surprised when I heard of Steve Irwin's death. I remember an episode where he was in Australia and he performed a stunt with one the most venomous snakes in the world he called "The kiss of death", where he layed on the ground and let the snake flick it's tongue on his face. When I saw that I said then that someday he's gonna get it, but I wouldn't have imagined that it would be a Sting Ray.

As a scuba diver I have seen many stingrays. If you leave them alone they will leave you. They are not aggressive animals until you chase them, Steve Irwin learned the hard way unfortunately

Except the animals weren't "of the sea" they were in a prison. That girl did nothing to understand them, she was a jailer.

As all video footage of the incident has been destroyed, any rumours about the events leading up to his death is speculative. One main reason he was killed was because it is alleged he grabbed hold of the stingray and it used it's venomous barb as a means of escape.

I don't understand why this guy was popular. He messed with and harrassed wild animals. It finally caught up to him.

To love an animal is straight from the heart, but to make a business training wild animals for movies goes off in a different direction, and not a positive one. To make money off exploiting animals for movies is not my idea of loving wild animals. It seems fame got to him.....and he ended up paying the ultimate price.

Yes I agree and also think all the "city zoo's" should be closed,maybe large wild life parks could continue if properly managed but to see elephants, tigers etc in small enclosures with thousands of people bothering them everyday to my mind is cruel.

Irwin did alot to educate people about crocodiles and other animals his death was a shock to all that loved his loved his adventures

The cameraman filming Irwin and the stingray caused the issue, as the stingray saw no way out to get away from both of them, thus, felt threatened and reacted. Sad.

Malcolm Douglas was the original "crocodile hunter". Steve Irwin used the name in his tv shows until the name stuck, mainly because of the American audience.

None of these performing animals are being protected. They are being exploited, used and abused. I love animals, but they should be let free and be wild, unless they are truly incapable of survival on their own. Then, and only then, may they be 'kept', to be viewed in a wild-like preserve, but as freely and untrained as possible, so they can enjoy their lives.

Marty Feldman? Really?...NOT... Christopher Reeve who was paralyzed in a horse accident and died from an infected pressure ulcer as a result? (bed sore infections are common to bed ridden, immobile and paralyzed people.)

Tredwell was not protecting bears. He was trespassing in a protected bear sanctuary.

On a very rare occasion that I decided to go for a walk in my neighborhood a huge black dog ran out and was going to bite me, I told the woman on the porch to call her dog a she did NOT.About a year later the dog tried to bite a police officer and he shot and killed the dog. I ❤ animals/pets but owners should control them,recently in my city a 5 year old child stuck his hand through a wooden fence and the bull dog bit it off.
