It's already been confirmed that Andy's dad died of polio. And there are pictures of Andy's dad in the house. some of those pictures of Andy are actually Andy's dad from when he was a child, because that's actually his childhood home. Woody was owned and played with by Andy's dad, but because he had polio, he had to stop playing with Woody and he locked him in a box for safe keeping. Years passed, Woody is given to Andy, but since Andy looked just like his dad when he was Andy's age, Woody believes he is the same kid, hence why Woody is still in good condition and believes Andy is/was his only owner.

They posted a video titled "Toy Story Zero". They interviewed a toy consultant for Pixar. He worked closely with the writers of toy story 1 & 2 and goes into GREAT detail about the untold story of Andy's dad, and where Woody came from. Every Toy Story fan/theorist needs to hear it.

I believe that the Nemo one is fake because there is now finding dory and all people who have never met him can see him and talk to him. If they can do that he must not be fake unless this is all part of Marlins dream from the start of finding Nemo. The beginning when he is looking at all the eggs. Theory Disney is dead and we’re all in a matrix controlled by robots who liked Disney’s bod movies and makes good movies

I know the truth of Andy’s dad. He didn’t abandon Andy, Mollie, and Mrs. Davis... also, as far as “no signs of the father”. The pictures of the young boy on the side of the stairs in Andy’s house, are actually his father as a child, hence the glasses on the kid in the pictures. Andy’s dad was a sick kid, grew up with a terrible disease, but he lived to adulthood. Eventually getting married and having kids, but he inevitably loses his life to the sickness.... I can go more in depth, explaining how and why Woody actually belonged to Andy’s father, and how/ why woody doesn’t remember him. It’s so good.

Yeah, I watched that! To bad the makers of this video didn't. Since CarlinBrothers posted a year before this was released. But it's hard to keep in the know if you don't know where to look.

The thing about Andy's dad is that he died the pictures on the wall in the house with Andy wearing glasses that isn't the Andy we know that is his dad! his dad had a life threatening illness that ruined his eyes and he eventually got better but then a few years later he got the same illness but got worse and it killed him the name on woody's boot inst the Andy we knows hand writing that is his dad writing when he got the only woody doll so yeah there is a video about it.And yes i know the Andy we know has the same hand writing as he dads but that can happen so enjoy!

Andys Dad passed away, some of those pictures are of Andys dad as a kid. Woody was locked in the chest for a while before andy got him. There was another video explaining that in detail about how the original home was a family home that was around for a while because the Woody commercial that was shown in Toy Story 2 never released Woody as a toy in the 50s and 60s and it explained how woody was the only one of his kind. He was the model that was used for the commercial.

I have my own. Andy's dad died & his spirit is infused into Woody. That explains why Woody is so protective of Andy. This one isn't morbid, just cool. After watching Cars 3, I was convinced that Cruz is the daughter of Lightning. They both have a need for speed. Since day 1, they both wanted to race. Their designs are very similar. It's conceivable that before Lightning got sponsored bt Rusteez that he could have gotten a fan girl pregnant. That girl being Miss Ramirez. The mother of Cruz.
