When it comes to giant retailers, Walmart is a cut above the rest. It is the largest private employer in the US. And its annual revenue is in the hundreds of billions. That’s the budget of a small European country. But not everything is rosy for the large corporation. No company wants anything out there that would tarnish its image. So let’s uncover 10 Secrets Walmart Doesn't Want You To Know (Part 2).

SUMMARIES:
- The first fact about Walmart relates to the owners. Understandably this is one nugget the wealthy family wouldn’t like to get around. But it’s not exactly a secret that the Waltons own the large retailer which makes them the richest family in the world.
- That was a dark start. So let’s turn our attention to something that would benefit you if you shop at Walmart. It’s about bread. We all love the smell of fresh bread. But living in a city makes the chance of seeing fresh bread coming out of the oven as rare as spotting a unicorn strolling down Times Square.
- We’ve talked before about big corporations running overseas sweatshops and sometimes utilizing child labor to cut down on costs and increase their profit. A quick Google search will yield plenty of scandals of this type. But what’s new here is that you don’t need to go overseas to find cheap labor.
- We mentioned that if you know where to look you can find a loaf of bread selling for one dollar at Walmart. Luckily there’s no cheap labor involved here and the low prices are part of a marketing campaign to attract customers.
- We all try to love and respect the police. From a distance, that is. Nobody likes to have a cop tailing them. On the road, a police car is always better ahead of you than behind you. This is not a reflection of a guilty conscience.
- This is one nifty trick that many people may not know about and will save you a lot of money and time while you’re shopping. If you like to shop online, you’ll be pleased to know that Walmart delivers your purchases to your home free of charge.
- One of the best things about Walmart is that it allows you to keep the change on your coupon. Say you have a $10 coupon and you made a purchase for $8.35, that leaves you with $1.65. Walmart will let you keep that dollar, 65 cents and use it in future shopping.
- This is definitely a secret that Walmart wouldn’t want you to know about. It has to do with the price tag code the company uses. When you see a new item on the shelf such as a lamp or toaster, you might be tempted to buy it before it gets picked by other customers.
- This is definitely a secret that Walmart wouldn’t want you to know about. It has to do with the price tag code the company uses. When you see a new item on the shelf such as a lamp or toaster, you might be tempted to buy it before it gets picked by other customers. But that’s not usually a good idea.
- As we mentioned before, not all big corporations are evil. And not all their marketing strategies are aimed at snaring the customers and fleecing them. Certainly not this one, which is a good practice by the giant retailer.

I had seven police officers aiming their service weapons at my head, accusing me of stealing what I was installing. I was in the company uniform, and it was obvious that the stack of mostly empty boxes were being installed, not stolen. This was being done, after midnight, so that it didn't bother very many of our customers. Seven Barney Fife grade cops who should have never been issued a firearm. It took over a half hour to convince the morons that I did work there, and threats to sue their township for harassment.

That sounds great, in theory. I'm Diabetic. After Irma passed through Florida, Walmart is the only grocery that still carries many low sugar/no sugar added foods. What little other chains carry, is usually out of stock. I used to have no other chose but local businesses, back in the '80s. I would need things they had to order. I waitrd up to nine months for boxes of machine screws from a local, long time hardware store. These days, I use Grainger or Fastenal. Most is in stock, or it will arrive from a warehouse within days. The local hardware stores have to buy a minimum from their supplier each time. They only order ever 30 to 45 days and cost more than twice as much. I live on a tiny VA pension, these days. I can't afford the time, or the higher price to shop at a hardware store with a lot of steps, and uneven flors. I had two bad falls, last year. After one, I laid in my driveway for several hours before someone finally head me yelling for help. Do whatever you want, but I only have a few hours a day to be on my feet, and only a few days a week.

The reason why they are always hiring is because they get rid of the employees so they don't have to give them a raise after they finished the so-called testing you have to go through when first hired and don't give you the time to get your tests done. I worked at Walmart. Idk if any of these things have been touched on, but; You are not required to submit a receipt to exit the store. BUT it is not illegal for them to ask you. For best results (not looking like a doofus) just ignore them if they ask for your receipt. If you’re stealing and get caught/chased by the AP team (asset protection), they can’t chase you past the edge of the sidewalk in front of the store. If you can make it that far, you’re clear. And if you check the clearance aisle, you can sometimes find some good deals on baggies of crystal meth. (I found two baggies that some druggie dropped while getting rid of trash from their backpack). Walmart is trash and I hate them.

Yeah Walmart is stealing YOUR taxes while you’re bashing some person who is trying to eat, and no I’m absolutely not condoning theft especially since I own several retail stores throughout the southeast including Atlanta and Charlotte right now. Large corporate businesses like Walmart use employees who receive government assistance for corporate luxury tax, which in return they receive 71cents for each individual who employed by their corporation while receiving government assistance. And only large corporations receive this benefit because according to the IRS or Internal Revenue Service and US Department Of Labor including US Department Of Agriculture businesses which has more than 500 employees can use this incentive. Furthermore, both small and large retail establishments have MPCI or Merchandise Protection Coverage Insurance, but when retail stores suffer from “Mass Petty Theft” our premiums rises which force us to raise our prices per merchandise so we can continue to see profits

Also there had been a car accident across the street from Walmart before we got there when going to the mall and there had been another one on same side of street as Walmart on way back there was also a McDonald in Walmart and across street from Walmart at the time.

Not to mention something else they don't like you to know is how much they throw out for minimal reasons It was around christmas time and i was told to throw out countless gloves hats scarves jackets and other warm clothing because it fell on the floor and was "dirty" it was revolting to see all the homeless people in the city that could benefit just from one walmarts help in the winter of stuff that gets thrown out and if you think large scale theres 5 walmarts in my city

I did contract work for Walmart and had Police called on my a few times. 1. I was assembling bikes outside in a side parking lot. Someone call Police and said a Big Black Man was putting bike together and stealing them. Cops showed up and we laughed about it. 2. Some idiot hear my Impact Driver which makes a "RAT-A-TAT-TAT noise and called them. They came into the Garden where we were working , Looked at us funny and left. 3. I was assembling furniture one day and left my drill in the Van. Went to get ,started working and next thing I know I've got security and Police standing over me with hands on their pistol grips shouting "Where's the gun?" I show my Black and Decker.

It's much worse... They don't pay contracted vendors, cheat on state taxes, and worst of all force you to use the self checkout by not having cashiers. When confronted by the receipt checker I explain it's my first day on registers and I've received no training. ... There's many reasons I do not shop at Walmart.

Where did this $15 per hour come from? Why not $50...he'll why not $30? Walmart cashiers or kart pushing shouldn't be a career job and it's not meant to provide you a good life. Should you want to work for Walmart though as a career you can do that and it pays well. Store managers, Co-managers for example get a great wage. Store managers get 1% of the stores profit for Xmas bonus. A good store - that's about $150,000 bonus and that's not including the over $100,000 salary. But let's be real. $15 an hr for every idiot associate that shows up wouldn't do anything. Would just cause an increase in prices to cover the cost. And then when milk is $8 a gallon people will be back to bitching about the wage. It never ends. Economics 101. Starting wage at Walmart now is $10 an hr which is more than many competitors.

My mom works for Walmart for almost 35 years couple years ago she was diagnosed with post covid tractopathy they said it's an extremely rare covid related or so they say covid related illness. She went from being completely mobile to losing complete use of her legs in a period of three weeks. No hospital here would help her because they didn't know what to do so we had to drive all the way to Rochester Minnesota to the Mayo Clinic and miraculously they pumped her full of some immunosuppressant because apparently they found out her immune system was attacking her body post covid and it damaged her nerves and her spine. At the time Walmart was using one kind of insurance and this year they change their insurance and now they won't cover my mother's treatments that she requires every 6 months to keep her immune system in check. She is now once again rapidly deteriorating and will most likely be completely paralyzed from the waist down at some point and eventually possibly become completely paralyzed head To toe... after days weeks and months of calling them and arguing and saying that she must have this treatment or she will deteriorate again they told her that they refuse to pay her a dime unless she returns back to work which she is somewhat unable to do because of her condition she is able to walk on her own now but she has extreme nerve pain and cannot sit or stand for extended periods of time yet Walmart doesn't care... She either has to return back to work and 6 months or lose her job and her insurance and her home which she is still making payments on. With the new insurance as well they're only paying her 30% of her original monthly income so she is hardly able to pay for her mortgage payment let alone anything else my wife my son and I were forced to move in with her to help her out around the house and financially... Shows how much they care about their employees huh... they also told her that if she was literally on a hospital bed in critical condition only then would they pay for her treatment as long as she is up enable they refuse

its because they have a list of things that they are expected to get done by the end of their shift that is impossible to get done so walmart says the customer comes first but when they spend time helping someone they lose time getting there task done and face being written up. so walmart has 2 types of employees those that give there all and end up burn out and quit .. the ones that stay just dont give a crap.. years ago stores would have a few people in each department and their only job was to help people get the best product but walmart was cheaper and most went out of buisness a few run their stores just like walmart does sell a lot of cheap crap for the lowest price..

When I worked at walmart I knew of all this. Shopped their to a degree. After I got sick I started changing all that for me on a whole. Meaning everywhere. This place really isn't a proper spot to shop for food. Something you all should think of whenever you're shopping there. Look up front at them shop back carts when you enter the place. Take notes if don't have a great or even a good memory. Notice them same carts at checkout. But more importantly. Notice the food items. Now an experience I've had on several occasions. I've found items (food of course) so outdated the colors changed as well as the packaging shape. Took them to the departments managers. Now when I worked there I was told if items on the floor are outdated or compromised. Remove them to the back for termination. The managers took them to the back. Basically a write-off. Back to my experience after no longer working there. The items posted on the self as well as items that should be returned to the coolers immediately we're there sitting. Discolored and swollen as they're now pretty much spoiled. And we all know how so called organic items go bad almost at a snap/blink. I decided to look and see if the proper methods were followed. Needless to say they were put back out for sell. Green and bloated complete with fur, penicillin and separation. I then mention this to an employee and told them I just gave this to the manager of this department. And the employee told me that's who told them to put it back on the floor. And this was told to me by both department employees. Since then I've come to the realization. Walmart isn't a great source for food items at all. Walmart for me is only ok for body care, fish food, maybe a dvd, underwear, baby care items to a degree and arts and crafts. And that's still a problem. Cause we are still contributing to the problems of the world supporting people of this nature.

Stocking heavy shit and pulling heavy pallets. Absolutely no safety training at Walmart. Ran over my foot with a pallet jack carrying a cardboard bin on pillows but hurt like heck. Stockers on the grocery side constantly lifted heavy cases of cans, cat litter, dog food, water cases, etc with no prior or refresher safety training. If you got injured you got punished and shamed. You were lucky to get workers comp if your manager wanted to believe you were injured.

halowaffles the economy is rolling. Obama had the slowest recovery in history. That was his fault. Things could have picked up faster had Obama unchained the regulations. Trump came in and lowered taxes something liberals opposed. Removed regulations that were in place because of past presidents. Liberals are so concerned with taxing business and being green they are suffocating the economy. That is not just any president sitting there.

I’m writing in behalf of MANY Americans. My career of being a schoolteacher for 33 years has netted me a lot less than if I was working full time at $15/hr. All I care about is my pride where I do not need EBT, welfare or Medicare. I have zero debt! But even that, I still have taxes, utilities and insurance bills monthly. I don’t give a flying f*** about how other people deserve more. I just want to eat, wear clothes that aren’t ragged, and make it to the next month. WalMart is within walking distance, and it allows me to be comfortable and maintain my lifestyle… as meager as it’s.
