What if it’s new and the relay clicks but lights don’t turn on?

Working on a dead vw beetle fuel pump relay right now. But a few years ago I got a washing machine going again this way. Guy at the appliance parts depot said mother board was $800....but because washer was older he suggested this technique and it worked and stayed fixed !

This works. Disconnected battery. Tugged, poked, whacked and shook relay. Would not come out. Read it had to be replaced with whole relay tray, or cut out. Hooked up battery to call it a night and presto it worked. I guess it was just stuck with a little corrosion. If does it again I'll drill 3 tiny holes in the top and spray silicone spray into relay to possibly fix corrosion issue for long time.

Just tap my fridge relay for the compressor and I think it might work it was reading constantly on now it's off😅

My horn relay clicks every time I press the horn does that mean it's bad ..

Horn is bad. Need to replace it. Or a dirty ground

The relay may still be faulty. The contacts of the relay may be corroded. The wiring of the horn may be faulty. The horn connectors might have been disconnected The horn may also be faulty. Test the relay and horn out of the circuit with dmm in continuity mode. Use dmm or test light to check voltage at the terminals of the horn and relay when in cicuit

This is a temporary fix. Relays are very cheap. Just get another one. You don't want to be stuck at night in the middle of nowhere.
