I am completely agree with you ! I love to go to China ! I am 77 y.o. and I am waiting for 2 years now for the Chinese customs to open and I am eager to go and forever stay with my wife in ShenZhen . I spent 54 months in 9 provinces during my 12 years of visiting China ! I would have wanted to visit China at your age ! You took the best decision for a wonderful present and future life !

What you said about the public safety in China is very interesting. Western media and governments have been condemning China for the prevalence of surveillance cameras, accusing the Chinese government of violation of human rights and using them as the means of totalitarian oppression and control. Meanwhile, response from the Chinese citizens and foreigners living in China has largely been that they have no issue with the supposed loss of privacy. In fact, the response has generally been that they love those cameras because they make the whole place very safe, as you said.

If you r afraid of the government watching you on the streets, then u probably should stay at home 24/7, bc PEOPLE r watching you if you go outside. The government isnt watching u when you r at home having an orgy with your neighbor's dog. I mean, why the west is so freak out of security cameras, when cars, homes, like literally, there r security cameras everywhere.

In facts, if you have 1.4 billions people to rule. You will not give a damn to what them do in everyday. Technically, it is just impossible to spy such a population. the CCTV , in most of the time, are on the track of criminals.

The west misuse the data they gather. Not just for legitimate surveillance. We saw that with many western companies and their governments. That's a fact. So it's natural they would think that China would do the same. They are wrong. China is clear that surveillance data is for surveillance, and only used for criminal and terrorism investigation.

Oh man. My friend and I went to China for some travels in 2018 (Guiling, Zhangjiajie, Suzhou, Hangzhou and a bit of Shanghai) and we have been dying to go back for some more but due to Covid it's obviously not happening. Anyways, whenever she asks me "where do you wanna go after Covid's over" I'm like "China, for sure." The infrastructure is just so good. When we traveled around US we realized for some reason their cross state trains are slower than car travels (and we weren't keen on driving ourselves in a foreign place) so...after eating away our shock, we had to take planes.

Thailand is also building HSR to connect from Laos to Malaysia and Singapore. If a 3rd world country like Indonesia can have HSR, why can’t the first world nations like Australia, Canada and the USA? Walk the talk or talk the walk? Stop endless debating, time to do some work and build HSR.

You will have different scenery in different seasons in the same place in China. Ancient poets would write poems on the same lake because of different seasons, because they felt different feelings. Heilongjiang in winter is different from Heilongjiang in summer, and so on. The most amazing thing is that when you visit some landscapes, you will learn about some different histories. Because of China's long history, everything becomes interesting.

Hi , thank you very much for your high appreciation to China. I am your new subscriber from HK. I was borne here and educated under the British governance. I think safety is the top importance in every country. I am 63. Now, I am not brave enough to go to Europe by myself, although I want to travel there after the covid. ( I have been to Europe many times when I was young. )

Hi Luke ! One more item should be added to the top of your list is…”Food”. All big provinces or cities in China have its own distinguished and delicious food. Also, in all first-line cities in China, you may have best Michelin restaurants serving best Chinese food from different provinces, and also international cuisine from all parts of the world, eg French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Indian food and many, many others. 🎉🎉🎉
