I love seeing a thoughtful young person who actually thinks about what they are doing and how they are contributing to the global community. We have a legacy regardless of our age - it's not just the realm of those in the middle or final act of their lives. Think of it like a wake of a ship...what are you leaving behind as you live out your days?

Your list really resonates with me. At the moment it’s a bit of a challenge for me to balance my strive for minimalism against my teenage kids needs for being typical teenagers. 😊 There’s still a lot that can be done without them really noticing it, and also of course trying to get them to realise that the hamster wheel of consumerism, often amplified by social media pressure, is not the only way of living.

Glad to hear that! Yeah I bet things are not so easy with teenagers haha. Took me years after those times to actually learn why minimalism is beneficial. It's a long process I guess 🤗

Please look up better help, they have done so much shady shit and scammed and hurt many customers with fake therapists and tried "converting" lgbtq people. They are a completely unethical company at so many levels. Ik they pay well but please just look in to them before accepting a sponsorship again.

Hey, before starting therapy with them more than a year ago, I of course researched the company. I found mainly good things but then also these "weird" therapist stories. The more I read about those, for me, they seemed older and very atypical incidents rather than the norm on their site (but getting the majority of media space ofc). I think very rarely do people come out to social media and news when they get good service. I decided to find out myself if these allegations are true (very much like when I thought to go vegan but so many people said it's dangerous because they got sick), and I have to say my BetterHelp therapist is actually way better than the local one I've had here in my city (she didn't help me deal with my anxiety at all, just gave me more anxiety). The BetterHelp service has been just 10/10 for me and I am very glad I gave them a chance. So, to talk very honestly with you (vegan to vegan haha), I don't have a clear answer to this. I really want to keep these videos going by promoting things that have helped me a lot and could help others (I am super picky with those) but I don't want to get my audience annoyed either if they dislike something. I already have a deal with them for another two promotions (one in August and one in September) but I guess after those I will review if it's worth it to continue the partnership with them

I don't know much about them, but I do know my gf got paid back some money from the one time she used the app because they got sued for selling their client's private information to third parties.

  • @Martin_Edmondson

@@SunnyKindJourney People are not hating them because they provide a good/bad service, its because they were fined by the FTC for giving access to people's personal data to third parties such as META, Snapchat, and Pinterest. They broke their privacy agreement and made money using their customer's most private/personal information about their mental health. It was an egregious breach of trust of their 7m customers, many of whom had issues worthy of seeking counselling and were at a uniquely vulnerable stage. Mental health counselling is a great thing, and should be promoted. But the issue is concerning the ethics of the company itself. I understand that you are not responsible for their actions, but a little more due diligence before you promote products to your viewers would be warranted.
