I will make it mine." 2nd vacation: "Hey, I'm pretty sure I called dibs on this tree...Oh well let's claim it again..." 3rd vacation: "Okay WTH is going on?! Do I own nothing?!" Maybe it's funnier in my head....

Le Trebuchet well it's only the tigers that my heart breaks, mainly because i love tigers so much & seeing them tailless really effects me. i can't explain it. when you see a tiger weather it be in the wild or in captivity you expect to see them whole. i do not know if they feel any different by not having a full tail. & i know it is only a tail & not a leg. but still it hurts me.

This undoubtedly relates to an experience in your childhood when you witnessed a tiger house cat losing its tail in some traumatic way. (I have a friend who always cries at parades and has no idea why.) My only admonition was in using a descriptive term that illustrates the most devastating emotional experience a human can endure. Perhaps you are young enough to have not yet experienced worse emotional pain than you feel when seeing a tailless tiger; but, unfortunately, infinitely greater pain awaits you.

Le Trebuchet you are very wise my friend. oh yes, ever since i can remember my empathy for tigers has been a definite strong hold on me, is the only way that i can describe it. i have experienced traumatic circumstances involving cats but even with this laying heavy on my shoulders, still i feel deeply for Tigers, is like i was once a Tiger in my past life, maybe that has something to do with it. i do not know. but what we feel we cannot contain. we are only human after all. oh yes i understand about greater pain, that i have experienced. even though a tiger with no tail may not be very important because the tiger is living & has a life to live, i understand there are much more greater pains that awaits us all. thank you. appreciate the kind words. sometimes we may not see for our own eyes, it is much better coming from another.

Perhaps it will be of some consolation for you to know that, just as human amputees experience "phantom limbs" -- the feeling that the missing appendage is still there; so a tailless tiger is blissfully unaware that its tail is gone! (So ... Shhhh ... don't let on that you don't see it! :-) Meanwhile, as long as we remain open to the agony that awaits us, its blissful partner -- ecstasy -- will always make it all worthwhile.

MsCasper060606 We LOVE stinky face. This is also called Flemhen. Cats have a Jacobson's organ in the roof of their mouths, so by making this face, they are actually smelling through their mouth. The do this whether they think something smells good or bad.

They all seem so happy to be out there exploring. I love this! It has to be an amazing job to get to come to work and take care of these guys. You give them a place where they can be themselves as animals, (as opposed to places like the circus or private owners who don't always treat them as they are, instead trying to turn them into a domestic house cat.) you respect them and honor their natural instincts and behavior. That is visible in your videos. Love what you guys are doing and how you clearly care about all the animals you have there. That speaks volumes to the awesome people you must be. ☺

I'm always filled with joy after watching their videos.. after a tough day of work or feeling down, I come to their channel and they don't disappoint. They do look so relaxed . . . . God bless them and the BCR staff.

The tunnel looks pretty fun for them to walk through. You guys show a truly good heart for taking care of the big cats so well!

they are so beautiful and look happy to be on vacation. love seeing them play in the water and splashing. "new smells = stinky face"... love that! i always crack up when my cats do that.

I'd definitely volunteer if I lived near by, looks like a lot of fun!

It's a wonderful thing to do for them, as they can run and investigate, and feel freedom in a way most of those rescues never have. And the enrichment factor keeps them well mentally as well as physically, so it really is a beautiful thing to do for them!

+SatanISintheWorld! GetRightWithTheLORDJesus!! Only two of our three lions go in the vacation rotation, but all they like to do is lounge around. Male lions sleep about 21 hours a day.

They usually get to vacation a minimum of twice a year.

I never seen something majestic more than running tiger in open area.

Magnificent Animals ! Thanks for the effort to give this Tigers a little bit of more physical freedom. It is ALWAYS SO SAD to see these MAGNIFICENT CATS CAGED !

superb first viewing of this video; what a difference, to spending their lives in cages . Over 70 yrs, I have not been to a circus, neither have my children, or grandchildren. Once a Safari parc. Where the animals roam around .We in the car . It was before air conditioned cars .The heat was atrocious . We live in southern France. So I really enjoy your videos.

All of our staff have been hired out of our volunteer pool. It is extremely common in the non-profit animal industry to have a dominance of female volunteers.
