Hi Jazzy!! Just got my visa. The US Stte Dept took 4 months to process my background ck paperwork and apostille. So my stress fell to the US to get paperwork done, because Ecuador only honored the life of those documents for 6 months. Once to Ecuador the process was very streamlined. I hired a gentleman in Ecuador who was EC licensed to trqnslate my documents and he got them notarized, must be done in ecuador by a certified lawyer. Papers came bck to US via DHL and that took awhile. and was trackable. The nearest Consulate for EC was fabulous but I will say they do not answer the phone so do your communications in Spanish and email. I lived in Colorado. I now live in Michigan. We'll see how my altitude admustment goges. Thanks.!!!!! tons!!!!

Food and beautiful nature

I miss Ecuador! Living in the USA is economically devastating, frustrating, and depressing. I feel like I’m working to pay bills. The health care is a joke! Insurance for many things!

Thanks for the video, and the good information. I was wondering how your family copes with the current situation in Ecuador? Do you feel safe in Quito and / or traveling around the country? Would it be wise for non natives to visit/move to... at this point in time? Thank you for your thoughts!

You are welcome. Thank you for watching. I feel like things are back to normal for us. We are still maintaining a good level of situational awareness but out and about. We have felt safe for the most part, but then again, we don't go out as much as the average person. I would say travel as you feel comfortable. I wouldn't say you shouldn’t come here right now, but just know your level of risk and go from there.
