Mine is 2019 july bought , clocked 14k till now, i had faced the same issues as you had mentioned. I changed the whole wire of the keyset an had no problem since long time . Cone set changed twice . Else everything is fine. And i am extremely satisfied with himalayan.

Chain requires lubing every 500kms, i do it for past 4 yrs on my Avenger 150 street. Stock chain sprocket kit still running at 28000 kms

Thanks for solving my problem on my laddak ride....... When i take bike to re showroom they opened my engien...and after 3 hour they find the problem that there is ignition problem.... The mechanic of re is trained to open engien if there is any problem, they will definitely open your engien I think if re bike headlights get fuse re will open your engine

It is good that you pointed out the cons clearly. It is your good luck that the frame of the motorcycle has not developed cracks or broken into two. I suggest you to keep watch at the welding joint located at the steering neck regularly.

That's due to loose contact. His wiring need to be checked.

Superb review bhai. I have Himalayan BS4, snow white only :) and I totally agree with your observation though some of the cons you mentioned haven't happened to my bike yet like headlight, ignition issue.. Tank lock issue is a major drawback in Himalayan. My whole tank got rusted from inside within 2 years and I have opted for a new tank now. The rust in the tank is caused due to water logging inside tank, the hole for tank lock was blocked and I didn't notice it because of which my tank got rusted and filter too got spoilt. Coming to Himalayan parts: takes long to get the parts as its not owned by many. I totally agree with the PROS like bike posture, comfort, seat quality, riding position and overall balance in the bike.

Bro can i buy second hand himalayan?, some one is selling himalayan 2017 model, same color which is shown in the video, bike is approx 30k km driven and he is asking 1.25 L. Is it a good deal?

i'm riding 220 avenger now. Don't I feel little heavier with himalayan? What do you feel regarding the heaviness of this bike?

It doesn't feel heavy when u ride it... Infact it feels better to ride on highway when u mount luggage on it

There is no comparison.. avenger 220 cruise is far better in terms of highway riding

Every bike has to be lube in every 300 km and clean after every 1500 km. You so that's not a problem . Every long rider knows

Yaa that's right but if it needs to be lubed 2 times before every 400km then I think it's a prblm.. Not that big but to some extent its a prblm

I ride bajaj ct200 and lubricant at every 3000 km,

Ye ignition wala problem fakira rider ke sath v hua tha

O rider... Every bike needs chain lube every 350-500kms, how come that is a problem, chain cleaning and lube is the basic maintenance, aur tyres Ka life to tere chalane ke upar rahega na ab off road karega ya kharab raaste pe chalega to tyre jayega hi that is not the problem with bike

Bhai Himalayan me bahut sare problems hai, 1st, 2nd Gear, Slow me band ho jati hai, vibration, thoda sa Wheel jamming, handle bar bend.... Agar koi RE ka koi bhi bike le raha ho to please unko bolo mat le. RE ke workshop ka service bhi ghatiya hai

310gs is more comfortable people say, the new bs6 specially, I am 5'7" and I also faced the same issue with sitting posture and handle bearing :)

Oo bhai... Iss bike pe maine 10 problem dikha diya iska matlab yeh nhi hai ki yeh ek faltu bike hai... Itna sara prblm hote hue v iska positive points iska negative se jyada hai.. Koi v himalayan owner se puch lo bata dega.... Nd pehle bikes ki ijaat krna sikh jao phir baat krte hai
