Despite catching my Hisuian Zoroark pretty late, she still contributed a good amount in some of the final battles. Fun fact: long before the game released, I was planning to use Torterra, Infernape, and Empoleon along side one of the Hisui Starters, but I wasn't satisfied with the teams so I took them off and created new teams.

I know I'm way late on finding out but I did it on purpose... IVE BEEN WAITING FOR A NORMAL GHOST SINCE RED GOLD SILVER. I also wanted a dark psychic and dark ghost and got both! There is only a few more type in wish for: Fire/water Fairy/dragon Ghost or dragon eevee as well as a normal Evo form for eevee. But I've been playing sine day one Red and Blue so these are wishlist pipe dreams...

I wouldn’t say Torterra got nerfed. IMO it got buffed. Sure it doesn’t get EQ anymore, but they gave it a better physical grass move that doesn’t cause recoil in Leaf Blade, they have it Sleep Powder and what appears to be a ground type Close Combat in Headlong Rush.

I like using Torterra.

I actually found a shiny Carnavine on my team so I gave him a go. Needed a grass type, I wanted to be original and not use Liligant like most people would who didn’t pick Rowlet so I figured why not? Yeah…needless to say he didn’t make the final cut😅 This was my final team Typhlosion Umbreon Braviary (shiny) Manaphy/Rotom Goodra Scizor This is honestly one of my favorite in-game teams I’ve had in a long time and happy with the end result. Just wish Carnavine worked out since I resorted to Rotom-C but most the playthrough it was Rotom-F because of how expensive appliances are lol

I was excited to see Zoroark make it into this game. It's one of my favorite Pokemon. Yes. I waited so long for it I'm not giving her up. Edit: As for Ursaluna. Yeah it's evelution thing is bonkers, but she's a beast!

I won’t lie. My hisuian zoroark is one of the main reasons why I was able to beat Giratina😂

I didn't mind doing the Ursaluna evolution too much, simply as I got a load of items while searching the peat block. The bulky bear proved a great bulky team member too.

I was surprised when you said Ursaluna, but i was relieved when you said why. Yeah the Peat block was annoying to get, but it was totally worth it in the end, especially since mine was a shiny alpha. The shiny part was on purpose since i shiny hunted it, but being alpha was just lucky. She was an absolute monster throughout my playthrough and even saved my bacon a few times in the post game. Totally worth the time and investment.

I use Kricketune, because one day he’ll be the strongest and fastest. Doesn’t matter what others think or judge. When he evolves into Edgelurd.

About Ursaluna, the peat block required for its evolution is a reward from a quest, I don't remember which one and it's available late but if you don't want to do the Ursaluna search for the peat block, you don't need it, just fill the pokedex and complete quests and you'll get the peat block as a reward at some point

Weavile is absurdly powerful. At level 70, it can sweep postgame Kamado without him even getting a turn. High Speed plus Priority is ridiculously strong in Legends: Arceus, which is why I agree on Ursaluna - it is strong, but so slow I got tired of using it and swapped it out of my final team. In later games with Trick Room available, I would love it though.

I think my team would be- Voltorb (Grass/Electric) Arcanine (Fire/Rock) Samurott (Water/Dark) Braviary (Flying/Psychic Ursaluna (Ground/Normal) And Goodra (Steel/Dragon) That gives 10 different types, not bad for me. I would also keep Gengar, Froslass and Kleavor/Scizor in rotation, Maybe Avalugg too. I don't like keeping legendaries in my team. All in all, this is just a day dreaming team.

I hear you and everything, but I'm trying a mono-Grass run in this game. I NEED that Torterra for type coverage!

Like a lot of people, I used a Hisuian Zoroark on my team. Caught it late game but holy damn that thing put it work. I named it Deadside, and the fact that it gets Shadow Ball, Flamethrower, and Hyper Beam makes it really good in this game. I know everyone's using it, but for once, I'm cool with being part of everyone, this things a monster

I didn't realize peat block was rare, I have like 8 of them that I found while going around looking for old verses

If I’m being honest I only used weavile bc I love its design and been wanting to use one for so long,finally had my chance with pla.also zoroark wrecks end game with its immunities and fairly decent move pool

So one thing I noticed during my playthrough is that an offensive Steel type is amazingly useful against more than half of the nobles, the exceptions being Lilligant and Electrode. Scizor seems like a decent budget option for that, but Steel types with good offensive Steel moves are a pain to get in Legends Arceus. Basically, I recommend Empoleon or Lucario, just based on positive type matchup, but I actually managed pretty darn well with an Aura Sphere Gardevoir

I used my ghost fox "Kurama" at end game and it worked out for me

Okay so my Hisuian Zoroark, plus my Togekiss and Ursaluna, essentially blanked Volo entirely outside of his Arcanine and Lucario nearly making things way harder.

Already using Empoleon in BD. I'm willing to put in the patience for Ursaluna. I've used Scizor quite a few times and Kleavor looks menacing. Thought about Sneasler but already have a great team in mind I'm building up toward.

@@HybridHero I just need Electivire, I've got plenty of Electrilizers, and leveling up Sliggoo for a Goodra. The other four I have: Samurott, Gardevoir, Kleavor and Ursaluna after getting two Peat Blocks on a row. Just a touch of nostalgia and a couple favorites.

You can get a peat block from one of the “find Wanda” missions

Even though Hisuian Zoroark is pretty late game and popular I can't wait to get it since it looks amazing

Finally started playing this game for the first time several days ago and decided I’d treat it as somewhat of a dream team quest and hunt for my favorite mons as shiny, preferably alpha shiny. And so I pay no mind to how long something will take like getting the peat block because I’ve already spent about 20 hours hunting for shiny alpha Snorlax and will gladly do it all over again for ursaring because Ursaluna is the first Pokémon in years that has tied with Snorlax in favoritism for me. And yes I do also want Zoroark because it’s dope as hell and I also am gonna be going for Goodra, Arcanine and Sneasler. Oh and I chose Oshawott. By the way, I remember first seeing Sneasler and thinking it looked weird as hell but honestly it makes sense given it’s purpose for you as the player and all of the high cliffs and mountains it lives amongst. Also it’s attack and speed are cracked. Good vid man

I love Ursaluna too! It's too my favorite Hisui pokemon! Ok, maybe second favorite after Enamores cause I look forward to use it in VGC in Gen 9 and I expect it to be really strong. And also design-wise Therian forme isn't that bad.

My Hisuian Zoroark helped with a good chunk of most of the post game story and endgame, is fun to use

Rhyperior does work regardless of its speed though. Definitely a different feel from using Snorlax.

I haven't played PLA yet, why are these pokemon giant? Can I have perfect stats without catching a big version of the pokemon?

I actually love my weville and I actually love how Ice types are actually useful in this game. STDs actually start as soon as you beat kleavor and i got my little sneasel right then because i hung around exploring instead of speeding through. Seriously though ice types are a life saver in the coronet highlands

I got Ursaluna within an hour of getting to the Mirelands. Worth the search, such a wonderful pokemon and a great add on to one of the best lines in the game

Totally feel the Ursaluna issue. I've logged 70 hours into PLA and I just checked my stash after hearing that section and I only have 2 peat blocks. I have tons of like everything else and only 2 of those, that's wild! I didn't know they were so rare but I haven't really tried to use those types of items yet so I didn't really take it into account.

I actually used infernape on my team and i can say it helped a LOT, being fire/fighting got me some advantages on a lot of fights with NPCs and it didn't leave my team ever, i was using a Ponyta as fire type when i started and when i got chimchar from the will o' wisp quest i never changed him

during the ursaluna part when he said peat block i was thinking dont i have that? and i do (this is my first playthrough and it was the first thing i found with the ursaluna mount)

any tips on beating Volo, the final boss of legends arceus?

I plan on using only regional forms for my final team after working on dex more. I never care to complete story till got a real reason to. Or just to enjoy the journey more. Mainly Basculegion, Zoroark, Goodra, and Typhlosion as well as Decidueye if can get one preferably an alpha.

I tried getting klevor but it’s item was too iffy to get. I already had a metal coat and I do not regret evolving my scizor at all! She was a huge clutch in plenty of moments with her steel typing. (Most of my team are weak to water too) I only got the klevor item during post game. Ironically I found pelt block during the chrimson mire lands when searching for a black algite for klevor. Ursaluna is a beast and I’m glad I found it!

I got mine during a Space-Time Distortion in the Mirelands, and this happened pretty early too. Then I got a full moon on my first try to evolve Ursaring.

Man my first playthrough i didnt even have a team. I was so busy swapping around pokemon i just had decidueye kleavor and whatever dex entries i was working on.

I needed a team of 6 to beat Volo

I had originally decided to put zoroark on my team before the release of the game but then I found a shiny zorua and I found the peat block search was enjoyable

i'm running: - Gallade - Mismagius (Alpha) - Porygon2 (Alpha) - Gliscor (Alpha) - Drapion (Alpha) - Hisuian Arcanine Only using one new mon but i'm just enjoying seeing my favourites in this game's combat system, (and giant to boot for some of them). came across a shiny turtwig i really wanna use but i just don't have the space for it. post game maybe. Find it kinda funny the trade evolution got way easier thanks to most "hold while trading" evolutions becoming just "use item" and the linking cord being a thing meanwhile some of the other item evolutions take so long because you have to rack up merit or get lucky in Distortions. It took so damn long to get my hands on a dawn stone for my Kirlia.

I liked the video. I also tried and failed at one point to use a new team to me. My final team ended up being Pokémon I usually don’t use, though I know they are common in other teams. They are - Typhlosion (coolest boi) - Sylveon (always default to it) - Garchomp (never used one) - Magnezone (Didn’t want Luxaray or Pikachu) - Alakazam (surprisingly has never been on my team) - Crobat (Wanted one for the longest time but never got around to training one)

I noticed the easter egg that the time code thumbnail for Zoroark is Weavile. Illusion. Great!

I dont get why they put hisuian zorua so late but it was worth it. I named mine loki

I used Tortera because he's my fave Sinnoh pokemon. But overall I used like two dozen pokemon throughout the game. I kept switching up my team

"its too popular and you shouldnt use it"...i dont think this is a very valid argument,especialy since as far as we know,this game is Single player only.

I still use Scyzor on my team. Its typing is just superior to Kleavor. And it's also one of my favorites.

Honestly I’m using Weavile over Sneasler. Mostly because regular Sneasel has never been available so early in the game before. It’s mostly a late game Pokémon since snowy areas are usually the last area in almost every Pokémon games. Plus I CAN FREAKIN FINALLY USE WEAVILE IN A PLAYTHROUGH TEAM!!!

When I get the game I actually will consider not using my favorites (since a lot of them are on here), but hisuian zoroark and ursaluna, are must runs, i'm feigning for those guys no question.

Although I got it late, it is my mvp in most battles, zoroark is my 2nd favorite Pokémon and I don’t care. It’s fun and cool, I don’t think popularity should be a part of this list ( personally )

Only thing I regret with getting ursaluna in my first play if getting 3 peat to fill our the Dex 😆. I did uniquely for me end up using octillery drapion and vespiquen all of which I had also never used before. However I could not stray away from Luxray.

I tried to only use hisuian forms but I’m still working on it because I’m catching every Pokémon and I found out that his hisuian Arcanine kind of sucks.

there is also the way of doing all the gone astray/lost quests and zeke gives a free peat block :)

This is the first time i've every used Snorlax in a pokemon game. He literally carried me through the game, along with Gastrodon and Infernape

Peat block was actually the first thing i found .. took like 1 minute

My team for most of the game was ghost themed, and I even dressed up my trainer spooky to go with it. I wanted to try a mono type team for the first time since there were so many great ghost types in pla. (I was going to include zoroark but filled out my team and got attached before I even found one) So most of my play through it was Hisuian Typhlosion Basculegion (alpha) Drifblim (alpha) Gengar Froslass Rotom Fan This team worked very well! After the post game I decided to switch things up just a little bit for some more fun and ended up with Luxray (shiny alpha) Rotom Frost (shiny) Infernape Honchkrow Porygon Z Unown Y (yeah… LMAO) What I love about this game is while it sucks there’s no online/competitive, that means you can use whatever Pokémon you like and it really doesn’t matter as long as it works for you. So just use whatever makes you happy!

I've been using mixed shiny teams right now with ninetales espeon umbreon glaceon sylveon and braviary

So my team is: Lucario, Gardevoir, Lopunny, Sneasler, Zoroark and Arcanine/Scizor. Really out of all the pokemon I have here I'm shock you didn't have Gardevoir and Lopunny because people be horndogs. Myself included, though for me I use them more for the typing. (in Gardevoir's case at least) Lopunny can learn Fire, Ice and Lighting type punches and using ether Giga Impact or Hyper Beam is just so good.

I wouldn’t discount slow Pokémon. Sure the new battle system doesn’t do them much favors in regards to attacking, but a lot of slow Pokémon make up for it by being absolute walls. For example, I used Ursaluna pretty quickly. It’s speed wasn’t impressive but it was an excellent tank with its high HP, Def and decent Special Defense. So yeah, slow Pokémon still have their uses, even in this new system.

I'll have to disagree on not using Scizor. Being bug/steel the only thing I have to watch for is fire moves. Maybe I am biased but it's no joke that I did debate using kleavor but then settled on scizor and I do NOT regret that decision. My scizor came in clutch so many times for me and became a great asset for my team that by end game he even helped me against the final boss. Having a metal/bug mix that could learn aerial ace felt kinda OP but so good too when it counted at tough times. My scizor is a big part of my team, I will not trade it out for a kleavor. Thank you for reading.

I actually got really lucky and got a peat block pretty early when I wasn't even hunting for it. THEN I got another one directly after that one. I'm also the guy who gets things like a reaper's cloth off my first duskull and a razor fang off my second gligar. RNG whatnow?

The only problem with arceus is the lack of moves. They pretty much took all status moves and effect type moves away and it's just a slugfest with every battle

I'm doing a semi-mono Ghost run (I still filled some of my slots with non Ghost types when I had limited selection just to have a party of six, but I rarely used them). Since I know the final boss will destroy me, I neglect using single type Ghosts. I'm currently trying to get a shiny Zoroark (after I ruined my first hunt). I wouldn't have gotten Spiritomb if not for the fact that Drifblim learns NO FLYING MOVES. So my team is: Typhlosion Drifappointment that shall be replaced by a shiny Zoroark one day or another Gengar Basculegion Froslass Spiritomb

I'll be doing a mono ghost run eventually!

I wanted the ghost Zoroark so bad that I traded with a friend before I even unlocked the third area.

My team at the end of the game was Samurott, Zoroark, Glaceon, Goodra, Basculegion, and Alolan Ninetales. Also apart from Alpha my Zoroark is just Tall.

Because I knew the new zoroa would be on every ones team so I shiny hunted it and didn’t have one on my team until I got it

It still bites me that the very first item I dug up with Ursaluna was a Peat Block, but I ditched it because my inventory was full and I didn’t know how important that item was. Thankfully my friend is trading me her Ursaluna to complete my Pokédex because I feel eternal regret

I only use 1 of these pokemon, and that's weavile. Which I caught before I even left the first area.

Can anyone please rate my pokemon team so far? (I will put A. For alpha) Decidueye, lvl 75 A. Garchomp, lvl 96 A. Gliscor, lvl 84 A. Infernape, lvl 79 Palkia, lvl 70 Dialga, lvl 70 Pls give me advice of what pokemon I should switch out.

My team included drapion, beautifly, scizzor, vespaquin, yanmega, and heracross so I had a unique experience

My reason why you shouldnt use Scizor is because he is suprisingly slow and easy to blitz in battle. In legands Arceus Scizor’s typing is wose than Kleavor’s because even tho rock bug isnt good it is better than steel bug which in this game everyone has a counter to. Another thing I would like to point out is that Scizor’s base stat total is just Scyther’s but speed is at a very low 45. Even tho Kleavor’s base stat total is also the same as Scyther’s being 500, his base stats are Scizor’s but kinder to speed and cut down on sp attack which Kleavor doesnt need

So your only argument for not using scizor is because there is kleavor? I mean i get that he is cool, but imo even without technician scizor is way better with a lot of resistances and only 1 weakness

I used Empoleon on my team, not because I want to use it. Okay, maybe that too (Empoleon is my favourite Sinnoh Starter), but I needed it because 2/3 is weak against Fairy. Tri-Lancer was a great team member.

Fun fact, my first playthrough, I never used a Sinnoh starter. Even on my current one, I didn’t.

Got 4 of that black evolution stone in 30 mins killing gravlers. Post game though

I got a shiny prinplup and evolved it... i kept it on my team

I got Weavile in a space time distortion.

instead of hisuian zoruark, i decided to have some fun with misdreavous, now shes one of my top 10 favorite pokemon
