  • @MrRob1

    @MrRob1

    No, it is completely normal to get emotional when reminiscing memories, it is the hearts way of reminding you of something you once loved. It is an indefinite emotion - almost like happiness, a lot like sadness with a hint of longing thrown in. It is the briefest moment of time travel, in that 17 and a half minutes you expereinced all the memories, sentiments and feelings as if you were a kid again watching those shows for the first time, like an emotional echo. That feeling may come in diffferent forms but will always taste the same no matter how old you get or how long into the future you return to this video. But remember that it the past, let the echo fade and don't hold on. Just smile and thank your heart for the reminder. As it is important to know that the present will soon be the past that we all look fondly back on. So to make the most of the present time we have been gifted with is the paramount purpose of being.

    Even with Nina and the Neurones and the Numberjacks, they're definitely uncanny but they still have such personality that once you get into the show you barely notice it. With Cocomelon the characters, backgrounds etc feel so plastic and lifeless it's actually quite sad.

    @@princesspeachfan100 When I have kids, I'll absolutely be showing them some shows from my childhood. I don't think kids shows nowadays have the same feel at all. I'm a grown man, and if I can STILL say that the older kids shows are better, what does that say, I wonder. Shows just don't seem to have any love or life put into them. There's rarely any proper storyline, and there's not a message to be told. I think kids shows should be loveable by kids and watchable by adults. If I find a show obnoxious, it's not going to be played in my house if possible. Obviously, if my child wants to watch some "crap" then I guess that's their choice. But I WILL be trying to teach them what proper kids shows (and as they get older, my favourite shows) should be all about. Especially since I think a lot of them will still hold out in the future!

I can't believe how quickly time has gone by. Tracy Beaker is all grown up, Sarah Jane has passed on... For the first time in my life, I feel old.

    Last year was the hardest year of college I've experienced so far. I was so close to dropping out so many times, not because I didn't want that career anymore, but just because I thought I couldn't handle it. I ended up watching Pingu, baby looney tunes, and other especially "baby" nostalgic shows (bc as my profile pic suggests, I watch cartoons regularly anyway lmao although I don't tend to watch the "baby" ones so that was the difference) and I swear it helped so much. It made me just empty my mind completely and relax after some really hard days.

    I got 35. Some of them I remembered bits of, but only from watching the last minute of an episode while waiting for whatever was on next. I was surprised to see just how much stop motion animation there was, and generally great quality 2D animation with actual plot to the episodes that older children could enjoy too. And since CGI was still in its early stages, most of the effects in the live action shows were practical. Thanks for uploading!

    I love the stop motion so much! It has so much character! Though I think cgi can have a lot of it and even sometimes just as much, it takes a lot of work that is rarely put in, especially in kids tv.

I do think its weird how trying to picture the animated ones or ones with cgi i remember them being higher quality than they were, like i remembered the cgi in wolfblood being so much better than it was and Nina and the neurons animation was better in my head. The aspect ratios and vhs static on some of them made me feel old but im probably younger than most people in the comment section
