The Israeli Ambassador to Australia Amir Maimon was interviewed by the ABC on 10 October and called Palestinians “animals”.
The video is the segment immediately after where the stunned organisers from the Palestine Action Group Sydney Josh Lee responds.
* Josh confronted the ABC Newsreader about this and for not correcting the Ambassador
* The ABC Newsreader flustered and said “…it was a startling statement …this is the sort of heightened language we’re getting at the moment…”
Just absolutely terrible and in line with the other examples Josh gave
* Israeli War Minister - described all the Palestinians as animals
* Benjamin Netenyahu - “we will make the Gaza Strip a desert island”
Together with cutting off food, electricity, water, indiscriminate and disproportionate attack (by Geneva Conventions) this is clearly collective punishment - at best a war crime and taking into account the pre-emptive statements made this early in the campaign (lots more including the above) - a good case for genocide.
This was on 9th October and to repeat our Australian Ambassador from Israel called Palestinians “animals”….
You don’t hear much about that and I’m pretty sure the PR machine is winding back rhetoric to avoid further evidence for the ICC.
