I get where you're coming from but let's be real...so few TE's can block effectively nowadays because they're basically just Red Zone Threat WR's coming off the line. This is pure opinion but the only good blocking TE's left in my opinion are Witten, Gronk, Gates, and Graham. The game has changed and coming across TE's balanced like that now is rare.

I think now after the Saint’s season we’re not the worst at drafting anymore. We picked up 4 star players in Rookie of the Year Marshon Lattimore, Marcus Williams, Ryan Ramczyk, and Rookie of the year Alvin Kamara. We could’ve went to the Super Bowl if it wasn’t for that one play!

That’s why the saints had 5 rookie drafted starters this year and one was defensive roty and the other offensive roty!!!

The Cards make dumb drafts a science. You mentioned taking Bryant Johnson in 2002 but you didn't mention they also took Wendell Bryant also in that first round but worse yet, they traded down that year(ending up with 2 picks) instead of standing pat and taking Terrell Suggs. Had they done that, the 2002 draft would have been one of their best because they got Anquan Boldin in the 2nd round. On the flipside, though, their draft in 2004 was one of the best in the last 20 years. They got Larry Fitzgerald, Calais Campbell, and Darnell Dockett in that draft.

Raiders also drafted safety Karl Joseph! That guy is being slept on at the moment, and was injured, but he is a hammer and has lots of range. A sure tackler and run stuffer and is going on his 2nd season.

I'm born and raised in Chicago, Bears fan most of my 35 years. I just don't get the front office and the need to draft players at positions that are actually needed, then they either trade picks away for washed up players who's position on the team is already filled or they draft players we simply don't need. This year won't be any different either. We'll give away picks then draft a 3rd string punter and maybe a mascot too

I'd say the Cowboys, 1995-2009. We hit a few times with Terrance Newman, DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten and Greg Ellis, But by and large, most of the picks in those times were done based on BPA and not need or usefulness in a scheme.

Aaron Rodgers would have sucked in San Francisco too. Alex Smith only had the same coaching staff and offensive scheme in 2 consecutive years once, and the second year he had the same scheme he took them to the Superbowl even though Kaepernick gets the credit

The saints then proceeded to have one of the most successful drafts by a team in recent memory. I think kamara and lattimore were the first two players from the same team to win offensive and defensive rookie of the year respectively

10 rules across professional sports that shouldn't exist

that Jacksonville list you showed made me sad as hell, especially when you consider they drafted in the top 5 for six years in a row.

The Saints problem isn't drafting poorly, it's that we always get rid of our best players (Jimmy Graham, Brandin Cooks, Benjamin Watson, CJ Spiller, etc)

The last 2 drafts under Ryan Pace, his first 2 as an owner, the Bears might've had the best drafts combined. Eddie Goldman, Jeremy Langford, Hroniss Grasu were all great the rookie season, just were hurt this last season. Plus Adrian Amos in the 5th round was a huge steal. White can still be good if he stays healthy. In 2016, we got Leonard Floyd, Cody Whitehair(switched positions twice before the season even started), Jonathan Bullard, JORDAN HOWARD. Plus the other 4 from this class looked good and could get better.

Nah imma argue the Cardinals placement. Ever since Keim was put at the helm, we have had some of the best drafts in recent memory. Markus Golden is posting double digit sacks, Deonn Buccanon has revolutionized the "moneyback" position, Patrick Peterson has shut down opponents since day one, and David Johnson has yet to hit his prime and is posting incredible numbers . We also have drafted studs like Tyrann Mathieu, D.J Humphries, J.J Nelson, and many more. The only two bust we have had in recent memory have been Cooper (which whatever we have Jones) and Nkemdiche, who Arians purposely sat to help settle his ego. I don't see how the Vikings aren't on this list. Outside of AP they've had a bunch of WRs and O line guys who have done nothing. Good ol Christian Ponder and Teddy Bridgewater can be added to that list too.

I am a colts fan, so take this with a grain of salt, but the difference between the Colts and every other team on this list is that between 2007-2016, the only top 14 pick we had was Andrew Luck. Its hard to draft studs when you're usually picking between 20-32. The Colts haven't missed as many stud players as the other teams, because most the can't miss players are already gone. That being said, Grisgson era drafting sucked and I still don't know why we took Philip Dorsett over Landon Collins. COME ON!

How the hell did you forget Saints drafting Malcolm Jenkins? He's one of the very best Strong Safeties in the league. Super Bowl Champ, Pro Bowl, All pro.....Thank the lord he's on our team now.

I'm a bit surprised that New England isn't on the list. Granted most of the list was looking at 1st round selections only.

as a lions fan i dont know why he brought up recent seasons. riley reiff and ebron aren't busts, theyve both had productive careers. we did draft horribly in the millen era though, his only good pick was Megatron

Lol Reggie Bush wasn’t a massive flop! He wasn’t worth a number 2 after he retired and you added up his stats for his career, but he still wasn’t a flop.

McKenzie is so fricken good a drafting. How can you have the raiders on this list when they drafted the best defensive player in the NFL. One of the best qbs and wide receivers😒
