Well I must say I’m a bit disappointed at not having the ND filter available when I accessed the Expert RAW Labs on my Samsung s23 Ultra. Any ideas as to why this is? All my software, Apps etc are up to date. All that was available when going into Expert RAW Labs was Multiple Exposure and Astrophoto!

I don't have ui 6 yet but I do have the 2x button. It's part of camera assistant.

5:30 - just so you know, changing the ratio DOES change the MP of the photo, I think this is a glitch in the app with the MP not changing at the top next to the ratio. So if you keep it on 12MP and change ratio to 16:9 - the picture resolution is actually 9MP still, like it was before but it still says 12MP at the top - so the ratio does appear to still change the resolution. And then 200MP for example at 16:9 puts it down to 150MP. You can see this when you swipe up on the photo after taking it :)

After updating the s23 ultra and speeding up the shutter, does the camera handle photos of children in motion? I'm wondering which phone to choose. What I care most about is photos and long-term safe use. I'm considering iPhone 14pro max/iphone 15 pro max/s23 ultra. I've never used an iPhone.

Damn, I hope that ND filter in Expert Raw gets trickled down to us S21 Ultra users. I got the Android 14/UI6 update & expert raw did update after too, but that's not a feature (yet).

Samsung needs to make the camera processing good without having to change multiple settings in multiple apps. It's too convoluted.

Professional photographer said it's not a shutter lag. It's on maximum processing by default even before the oneui 6.0 came out. You can adjust the capture speed on oneui 5.1 though

My favourite is the ND filter which I don't have on my Fold5 with One UI 6. Very strange! Also, the new Galaxy Enhance-X is not available for Fold5.😮

If you can get one heavily discounted, go for it. But if it’s only a couple hundred off with mediocre trade-in offerings I would wait until February since the S24 will be shipping by then. Samsung always has huge preorder perks and trade in offerings that make buying the latest model a better option.

One thing I have noticed about camera phones is them not being able to get the color accuracy right they do amazing jobs other than that little problem

Pixel phones do really well with color accuracy! But they get knocked because the pictures don't look as fake and vibrant as iphone or galaxy phones.

@@kris_go_cool3030 Agreed. Pixel images do look nice overall but it’s a very specific look that someone has to enjoy. My wife for instance doesn’t like how much contrast and sharpness Pixel photos typically have.

Emhance X only has basic photo editing options on my S21. No video capabilities. Only photos. And you can get the same thing in the S line gallery app. Unfortunate. But super cute kid!

@welshlad6427 the color science lol , colours are fake in all smartphones , even we with our eyes see slightly different colors compared to others, The thing is exposure and dynamic range, that make the photo look natural and I've seen these both really great on pixels and Samsung, the noticeable difference is sharpening, pixel photos are oversharpend most of the time , Samsung sharpening at least in s23ultra is just more oversharpened than 15promax, I'm OK with that , it's an older and cheaper phone , Still a great deal If I find a problem on Samsung photos is the "more processing" mode being on by default wich introduced shutter lag, they should put the medium processing setting for default instead so there's no shutter lag problem. But that's kind of a nitpick since Its just a press of a button to fix it in one ui 6 camera settings

@welshlad6427 still, its always some extra sharpening wherever you zoom into a pixel photo , And theres is a big flaw with the skin tones this year especially on the pixel 8 series, they look too contrasty to the point that the eyes have black shadows and everyone seems tired, other than that, and the oversharpened look , I think pixel photos are amazing and sometimes the oversharpened look is actually making it better , but that contrast in peoples faces looks just off and unnatural, hope the fix It with updates or something

Or maybe you don’t? If you have plenty of light and the picture does not take once you hit the shutter button that’s not shutter speed, that’s lag. It’s due to all of the processing that’s happening such as scene detection, subject detection, HDR, etc.. trust me I’ve done several videos on this topic but you do you do.
