My thoughts exactly! My father and stepmother were emotionally, verbally, and psychologically abusive to me as a teen (escaped at 16 and over 2 decades permanently estranged). I remember a few times going into "discussions" with my father after doing something "wrong" with my arguments all lined up to face him. My planned points melted away really fast when he brought a similar list of points of Terrible Things and wouldn't let me defend myself. I'd go in feeling confident and end in tears and on the verge of suicidal.

I hated, hated, hated the ending of the first Kingsman movie. Billions of people all over the globe maimed and slaughtered each other, including their CHILDREN!!! All of the world's leaders and elite are dead, so nobody is in charge to handle the aftermath. There would be worldwide chaos for years, maybe decades. BBBUUUTTTTT... Don't worry about that. Here is Eggsy having booty bumping with a Princess (who doesn't yet know her whole family is dead). Then let's take a fun revenge stroll to the pub. Somehow... all is right with the world.

@@stevensauer8539 First of all, the movie was not made with the assumption that there would be a sequel. The ending was the ending. The Princess's family was dead, She was in the jail cell because she was the only member of her family that didn't agree with Valentine's plan. Whether that family was four people, ten people, thirty people, or two people, those family members were dead. AND she would not know until after having sex with Eggsy. Imagine that post coitus conversation. 🤦 PLUS, the family's heads exploded. Not only was she suddenly an orphan, but she also had to offer her final goodbyes to a collection of headless corpses.

The Truman Show’s ending is darker than it seems. Truman may have left the dome and entered the real world, but he is still the most recognizable person on Earth. He will never have a normal life. He will be followed and photographed and hounded everywhere he goes. The only money he can make is from either writing books and doing interviews about the world he just escaped, or by suing the makers of his show for what he would be owed both from profits and them robbing him of a real life. The mental toll the experience would have on Truman is likely to cause severe anxiety, depression and possibly suicide.

That's where the movie thought about that. The Chinese & Nepalese workers onboard would become the serf class. Their inclusion was the whole point of also bringing on the 1%ers. They could have grabbed people based on preventing genetic bottlenecks, skills, and ability to teach for a couple decades. Instead they chose the medieval option, where every non-military chump was going to learn the plantation life real quick. The military got an oversized chunk of seats too, as the assumed they would need to "secure their authority" over the tens of thousands of people expected to have survived by happenstance. Everyone really needs to read the after release interviews, and the plot ideas *for the planned sequel*

Escape from LA: Alternate Earth ... but can't say I'd have done any different. Yes, a lot of ceasing to exist. When he shuts off the Surrogate system, city streets across the world will become clogged with crashed vehicles as their drivers switch off. Aircraft, trains and shipping will be left without pilots and crew, adding to the carnage. Untended cooking will catch fire, and those fires will burn out of control, as the emergency services struggle to reach their firefighting equipment through the clogged streets. 🤦‍♂

He is now in the real world where billions of people think they know him and are his friend. Safe to assume the "Bank of Seahaven" isn't real and Truman has no actual money, or place to live once the set of the show has been shuttered. How long will it take for his "true love" that he knew for less than a day gets tired of an unemployed, broke man who is constantly hounded by the entire world wanting something from him. Will he have the skills to capitalize in this fame or be used for everyone else's gain while he ends up destitute. Even if he can be compensated by the producers that f'ed his life, how long will the money last. Will he have the skills to avoid being taken. And the psychological issues he will have adjusting to the real world, knowing nothing he remembers of his past is real. Not sure his "freedom" is a happy ending.

@@trippyboi91 I'm kind of 50/50 on it, she's obsessed with him, and the movie didn't really give us anything about what she was doing when she left. But she was gone for a while so maybe she got pregnant to trap him. IDK, but he's trapped either way. She could falsely accuse him of anything, and the world will eat it up. I'm not even sure if he could cheat anymore because everybody is watching him, and men accused of a crime will have that affect them until the day they are 6 feet under.

In Kingsman the world leaders dying wouldn't have any significant effect, as standby leaders would take their place. All nations have procedures for replacing a leader if they die, as can happen in normal circumstances. 2012's biggest flaw is that the rich paid China to build the arks. What would happen in real life is that the Chinese military would seize the arks for use by the Chinese people. The rich paid for the arks with money that would become useless after the disaster, so what motive would the Chinese have for building the arks? The answer to that question is in the statement I made before it.

I don't think there was any leftover money. Didn't they say the money all went toward building the arks in such a short period of time? Which gives even less motivation for the Chinese to not seize the arks. Although I don't see them doing it for the more than 1 billion Chinese people, but for Party leaders and significant VIPs. Only so much room on the arks, after all....

Please either change your channel name to PratCulture or stop worrying about every possible detail in the most fanciful, fictional, fantasy movies. What part of your brain says "I'm upset that there are scientific inaccuracies in this movie about impossible events and nonsensical plot lines"? Yeah, let's apply reason and logic to a movie about "Superman".
