This is a question that has several answers. Best to Google: what to do if your colored embroidery thread bleeds in the wash…. It’s easier than trying to explain. Read several of the articles it brings up for you. There are suggestions and good info

@@meow0103 my pleasure. To write it would have been a dissertation paper 😉 Mostly dark reds or purples but not always or all brands. Many variables. How you laundered a piece…how one should. Do you pre wash a test piece… are you stitching a decorative piece for a wall or a garment that will be washed repeatedly. Or a pillow cover???? Are you working with vintage materials…beads, metallics…. These all can be factored in. As I said, Google and a trip to the library for a few books. Some will have a chapter on this. Especially good to read at least once. Enjoy the journey Happy stitching 🪡🧵🧶
