Wow. I decided to give Dance With the Devil a listen cause it’s number 1 and wow, I’m so glad I did. That song was insane. The plot twist was more mind blowing then any plot twist I’ve ever seen in a movie. And how he goes in to say that it’s a true story because he was there, just wow. That song was truly the most mind blowing hip hop song I’ve ever heard. How have I not known about this song until now? Absolutely incredible.

There are 2 songs I know people won’t agree because how popular they became they became a meme but Sicko Mode and Old Town Road were both so mind blowing when they came out. The beat switches and production on Sicko Mode made it the hip hop Bohemian Rhapsody. And Old Town Road was a country trap song that had a sound no one had ever heard before, I mean fucking Billy Ray is a feature on one of the biggest rap songs of all time, that’s just nuts.

Honestly NFR I love this list so much. I agree fully. Dance with the devil is the most amazing story song I have ever heard. It’s scary. Speaking on that song and plot twists, ik that “darkness” by Eminem is very underrated due to his early stuff being so much better but I feel this is a phenomenal song and the twist of the character and not Eminem is fantastic.
yea i was rly surprised to see dancing with the devil here cuz it so underrated but yea its still mindblowing when i listen to it
Im not saying this song should be on the list BUT New slaves was mind blowing. The production and outro just made it an amazing song.

Spot on 👌

"Follow the leader" Eric b and Rakim .35 years old still fresh as a daisy.
After this video,i don't know why, but i went to listen to "dance with the devil" . That is one of the best song written I've ever listen in my life. Immortal technique gave us a horror film in 6 mins😢
''Made to Kill, that's why they killed me concealed" my view from this on the flip end of the bar (the human side) is murderers, killers are locked up in jails. But even more importantly, the evolution of the guns story starts with him wanting to be blasted more, needing a thoroughbred to load him with mad slugs. This changes when he meets an older gun who was tired of killing because of his murder career- like meeting an OG later in life who schools him. I believe this influences his decision to want to stop being a used in that way. This just shows the genius of Nas because that added layer to it just takes this masterpiece into another level that's unreachable. I have so much respect for the man and his craft.
i was hoping the dance with the devil will be on here, number one is well deserved. Every time i hear it i’m still shocked and heartbroken by the twist. it’s an amazing story telling song tho
I remember when I first heard I Gave You Power. I listened to it 15 times in a row. Same thing with Rewind by Nas
Y'all should check out Canserbero's songs. He was a Venezuelan rapper whose storytelling ability I haven't seen matched by any rapper ever, specially in songs like Es Épico, Mundo de Piedra and Llovía. Unfortunately the songs are not well translated to english in any video I've seen, but it is still worth giving it a go.
Do an episode about great storytelling songs/rappers?
good episode.
Tetsuo and youth is soooo good
underrated channel
Rewind also- telling a story BACKWARD? Crazy stuff. But overall I gave you power is one of the best rap songs OAT
You guys should listen to Rewind by Nas, Renee by The Lost Boys and Love’s Gonna Get’Cha by Boogie Down Productions. Those are classic storytelling songs
W for perfect circle/god speed but u by kendrick should be on here imo
