10 Most Difficult English Words to Pronounce | UK & US
Here are 10 English words that non-native speakers, and even some native speakers, often find very difficult to pronounce. To compile this list, I asked my followers on Facebook and Instagram which words they found the most difficult to say in English.
These words include: hierarchical, clothes and miscellaneous.
I show you how to pronounce them, and also tell you how you can "cheat" if you find them too hard to say.

Max : I truly appreciate the clarity of your videos. You set your agenda in the beginning and then you stick to it. The twin pronunciation pattern is also very useful. Hence it's no surprise that I've quickly subscribed to your package. Congrats

Those are some fine examples of difficult words. They are difficult to both pronounce and to spell. The tricky part is when some letters are silent, even more so when they are silent in British English but not in American English.
Very helpful
Your pronunciation is excellent. I love you.

It's interesting. I've been watching your videos for some time and one of the aspects about them that I've found most intriguing is when you do British pronunciations versus American pronunciations. Often times, after your American pronunciations, I end up saying the same word out loud to myself in a comparison of accuracy. And as an American, I have to say that your emulation of the accent is perfectly precise. A precision worthy of some accolade, at least! Great job!! =) Have a very Merry Christmas and an most exceptional new year!

It's lovely to hear that from an American! Thank you very much. When I watch the film back after recording I often feel I've exaggerated it... But I suppose I'm not auditioning for a movie! Thanks very much - a very Merry Christmas to you too and thank you for your ongoing support!
I miss a teacher like you in my learning journey because I never tired watching your vedio.
Thanks Ms Max
Great video, some of the words are quite common in my job, in particular the first one... really useful. BTW nice outfit!

Ma'am your pronunciation is really fantastic. Very helpful video. Thank you ma'am.
My new discovery. Great video.
This is so important and fun, as well; I'm Brazilian, a son of Italian immigrants and as such I grew up speaking Portuguese and Italian; I learned English after I moved to Canada and my personal nightmare word was always "Worcestershire" :^D
Thank you very much, Max! It's a very interesting channel! At last I know how to pronounce "clothes"! :) There is another word that is a problem for me - "months". As I understand I can pronounce it as "mons" :)

Thank you! Haha, yes, if you say it quickly, you could just say /mʌns/ without people realising. :)
As a native Spanish speaker, I find the word scheduled the hardest to handle...thank you for making this useful video. Greetings from Málaga, Southern Spain.
Nice group of words, Max. I still struggle with some of them.
