Check this out. In 2018 a new mayor was voted in to Camden, NJ. Huge changes were started made to police reform. The town has been under democratic rule for several years but finally this mayor (D) came in and started to do major changes and the death and crime rate have dropped significantly. They still have a long way to go but the community is pulling together in the last 2 years. Cops are involved in community relations not just as peace keepers and law enforcers but to help their community . The Christian Mayor's values are credited to this change in how the city now functions and the crime rates have not been this low since the early 80's. Amazing!💜

Re: Snake Island. After the lighthouse keeper and his family died, they automated the lighthouse. When they go to service it the military is involved if im not mistaken and there is always someone who keeps a bunch of anti venom on hand just in case. The government made it illegal to go there, it helps that it has slippery rocks and rocky shoreline where there's no easy place to dock a boat. As far as how they know the population - scientists visit the island periodically to get data and because snake venom has potential to help certain medical conditions. I saw a documentary on it years ago.. I love snakes, but.. thats a whole lotta NOPE from me :D

I used to live in Philly and always used to cross the bridge to visit a few friends that we used to communicate on the CB Radio; there werent that much abandoned houses but after seeing the footage , i wouldn't be surprised how that city has become. Its a death trap in Camden unless you have connections lol . Theres other dangerous places worst than the ones they mentioned , Im sure they wont mention it to scare people. Shout outs and mad respects to the Matthews Fam ;)

Don't know how much truth there is in that report but I grew up in El Paso TX. El Paso is right across the border from Ciudad Juarez, never heard of it been called the Juarez Valley, but it is the most dangerous city in the world at one time. in 2010, 1,321,004 people died (that is 10 people per day) in 2013 1,506,198 (according to wikipedia) but since then Juarez has begun to heal. There was a good real article in the National Geographic of how Juarez have gotten their act together to fight crime. You want to get a good picture of what it might look like watch the movie Sicario. You'll get the picture.

Literally Highway 178 in Southern Sierras of California i feel should be considered a death road but never gets mentioned. Mountain pass with Kern River on 1 side near vertical mountain on opposite, limited gaurdrails, cows in the road, Rockslides, blind corners, Semis, RVs everything goes up and down that road. We have a sign i believe with 280+ deaths since 1969 in just a 30 mile portion of highway. Lets just say Locals do that stretch of Highway in 17-20mins so you can imagine the carnage that happens at those speeds.

I use to in Camden in Cramer Hill until I moved when I was 5. When I was an infant to the age of 5, so many things happened for example shootings would happen a lot, there would be drug dealers selling in cars outside my home or right out front of my old home. I don't live there any more but my dad does in the old home. Camden County cops r constantly patrolling so crime has gone down a bit if not a lot but there was a point in time it was really bad.

I have been to Juarez Mexico. We crossed the border in El Paso Texas just so we could say we had been to Mexico. Within the first 50ft my buddy was told by a shop owner to take his wedding ring off and hide it or it could cause us to get robbed. Within the next 50ft we were asked what we were looking for girls or drugs. We said neither we just wanted a shirt. We found a cab drive to take us to the square a mile or so into Mexico and we paid him $20 to stay with us until we were done. We got done and he took us back to the border and said for us to not let the sun set on us in Mexico or else there would be a 90% chance we would never make it back to America. We thanked him and gave him another $20 then he said that he was taking the next day off that we had gave him more in one hour than he normally makes in a week. It was heart breaking when we went to the square because there were so many kids between just walking and probably 12 years old asking if we had any change. We gave all of them a little and then here came more and more until we didn’t have any change or small bills. This one woman walked up with a infant and asked did we have anything for him. Looking back on it and doing some research I can’t believe we were so stupid by going into Mexico and not just staying right at the border. I’m glad we made it out and I will never go back to that spot.
