Venture to the Vile demo didn't click with me. Will give it another look once the game's out. Somber Echoes and Fatal Claw are going straight on the wishlist. Neat that Ender Lillies got a sequel.

Pampas & Selene: The Maze Of Demons - Love the design and throw-back retro 8-bit graphics but most of all the coop or chop-and-change mechanic of magician or knight. Awesome. Looks like a must buy. Tbh other metroidvanias have too wacky design without enough strong identity imho whereas this simple graphics throws out charm spells like they're going out of fashion!

After years of playing metroidvanias... I can say that I am only interested in pixel art... other metroidvanias I find very unpleasant visually.. even well done ones. EVEN LOVED ones...

True. Pixel arts and metroidvania are definitely a match, it's just nice to see how the pixels can highlight the details and style of the game

At this point. I'm not even going to listen about other hollow knight clones anymore. Crowsworn is the limit

There are so many Hollow knight clones nowadays we might need to start calling them Hollow-likes

I'm fine with games copying the visuals of Hollow Knight, as long as they don't copy all the awful things in it, like its horrendously stupid mapping system, its corpse runs, or its terrible respawn points placed far away from bosses. Anyway, Somber Echoes and Pampas & Selene look great.

Sh*ting on any game that is influenced by hollow knight is poor form if you can jump and have pixel graphics in a game it’s not a Mario clone is it’s just a game with similar mechanics and and visuals.

Bro why isnt this a copyright strike they literally stole eveything from the feel to looks to movement healing mechanics bruh

Games like Deviator is a prime example of why the indie scene is often not taken seriously. They didn't even try to make their own art style, theme, or anything. It's literally just copy and paste bloat.

@@ZeroCrits yes I have T_T. Greenpath remains one of my faves themes.. but the overall look and aesthetic was a big turn off and made an otherwise great metroidvania hard to enjoy for me.

My biggest gripe against hollow knight clones is that I'm just sick and tired of hearing about hollow knight The genre is called "metroidvania" but you'd think it was invented by hollow knight with how its the only thing talked about Honestly I didn't even think it was that great I did love ender lilies and am happy about ender magnolia and bo which was also announed so I can look forward to those

Honestly, this guy is just annoying calling every game a Hollow Knight clone even when they look nothing like Hollow Knight. Deviator is an obvious one, but what about the rest?

aw crap more PC Games.. again, I dont play on a pc, I only own a Switch! 🤦‍♂🙅‍♂🤦 No Like for me.
