I think what I love most about the Namjoon Jin dynamic is that, during personal moments, Namjoon calls Jin 'Jin' not Jin-hyung or Seokjin. That to me signifies they have a deeper relationship than what we see on screen. Whether it be as best best friends, or something else.

Jin can be totally crazy when he hangs out with the maknae line but he's equally capable of having quiet, meaningful conversations with the introvert Namjoon. My absolute fav ship in the family

The hyung-line all serve different back-up roles to Namjoon. Yoongi pushes him creatively, Hoseok is his second-in-command who fixes all the things Namjoon doesn't get to, and Jin is Namjoon's anchor. Namjoon's got the kind of brain that gets into the Genius Philosophical Bullshit Stress Zone easily, and Jin's the down-to-earth jokester who keeps him tethered down instead to blowing off-course. And Namjoon keeps the group working together and communicating. It's a pretty efficient (and touching) system.
