Your teeth will be sore for at least two weeks and then probably for another two months it’ll take you to get used to just having the braces in your mouth because they’re gonna annoy you to the living end of daze, rubbing and scraping like a saw blade inside your mouth. Get ready to use a lot of wax. I use a whole pack every two days.

I had them as a kid for about 4-5 years but getting them again as an adult to rid my overbite which my orthodontist said I will only need for 2 years. 2 years for an adult will fly by quick 😊

@@jordynlifestyle4491 hi! Yes I did get them! It doesn’t hurt getting them on, but after like a hour or 3, you feel a little soreness. Everyone is different on how sore it is, my braces only hurt for a day! It feels very weird to eat and drink, but after a day or so you might get use to the feel of eating and drinking! Hope it helped!

Just got braces yesterday but not even been 24hrs a bracket from the molars of my upper jaw has already come off. Wondering if it's normal? I can only chew on one side and the tooth from which the bracket came off was subject to the most pressure from chewing food, although im just on soft food

Will tooth extractions impact my facial structure? Ortho required me to remove 8 tooth’s 4 reg 4 wisdoms. I’ve read many posts online about how some people receive a receded chin due to extractions after braces. I have crowded teeth 😢

So, my case is kind of strange.My top two wisdom teeth are taking the place of my two rotten back teeth, but then I also need braces for 2 whole years to make sure the teeth don't stray and create gaps. Do you think Invisalign is a bad option or no? My teeth are relatively straight with just some movement in the front with my teeth going outwards a little.

Btw, I ended up having 8 teeth removed BDHBS 2 wisdom teeth, 4 bad teeth, 2 teeth to make room for braces I was a very special case and still recovered great

They probably didn't put enough glue on them - that didn't happen to me, they bonded everything right after they aligned my brackets.

It's normal dear....my Dr suggested me that don't chew from the front of ur teeth ... Because that teeth is moving and more pressure from braces are on those teeths so it's painfull while eats from the front teeth...so pls avoid it and use ur inner teeth to chew..don't worry

no u cant.. only if u have orthodontic issues. i had braces for two years and trust me its not fun. im assuming ur young, when i was 11/12 i wanted to have braces really bad. im 17 now, had braces from 15 to 17 (almost two years, got them off a month ago) and it wasn’t a fun experience

I don't know a single person that wears retainers at night and I'll feel really sheepish and embarrassed if i have someone over/date someone. It's still not imminent but will happen once the braces come off again.

Yet again, the medical profession seems to forget that they are in the employ of the patient, NOT the other way round! If a patient doesn’t want to wear rubber bands, he doesn’t have to! If a patient doesn’t want treatment time extended, he doesn’t have to accept it!! When will the medical profession realise they must do what the patient wants!?

But that’s basically what ur signing up for when u get braces from an orthodontist provider.. yes it’s about making patients comfortable but the treatment won’t work so why would we skip these things?
