Another tip for armor if you take too much damage... use obsidian armor (3 pieces - helm, body and legs) and donate enough (about 45k) tokkul to fight cauldron. Also for challenge 3 I drop death swiftness, get some adrenaline up and then push special button... that way I can damage Zuk enough and get adrenaline back up for barricade in time.

I had sturggled for over 7h on this with my T90 gear and your tip to use Onyx Bak's instead of ruby bak's made me arrive at the boss with full food and get the cape in 2 tries. Thx man!!

@@Milehi6h Mage has better options. You're much better off using a Vamp aura and Incite Fear/Exanguinate. You're also not gonna take much damage either because of Animate Dead.

Just a note: 11:00 , the grey hit is typeless and not melee so prayer wont help. Use Disruption shield or resonance

What did it for me was simply using anticipation before Zuk stuns you before the fire pizza phase. It gives you plenty of time to run to the minions and pop off some extra hits. I kept missing my surge and dying in the fire by the mage damage, but with using anticipation you don't have to worry about surging wrong, you just run up to each of the minions.

Your suggestion on onyx and hydrix bakrims helped me get my first kill and my first cape upgrade, didn't know about these bolts tbh, so thanks a ton!

Am i the only 1 that thinks these capes should have a moving magma animation similar to the fire cape? They seem a bit lackluster without

Small update. With with tips and me taking it slower I was able to get all the way to Zuk without dying but sadly I was out of food by then but huge improvements overall. That Safe spot really is golden Challenge #1 is still a struggle but 2 and 3 are very easy I need to speed up on killing Har-Aken, he destroyed that run lol Zuk fight went much smoother this go around, surge tip was reliable Thank you again for all the tips!

This info helped me so much literally go the full run deathless and nearly flawless first kill after watching this vid, Thankyou!!

With the challenge wave on wave 15, you can also drink a powerburst of vitality if you don't manage to get barricade up in time which will help if you take that massive hit :)

One thing I found while floundering with this is that *failing the zuk dps checks in the early phases is not the end of the world.* If you need to repeat wave 15 in particular with the mages just before the one where you have to barricade to be 100% sure that you have 100% adrenaline for it, do that. I might even swap out for the arch perk that gives me 110% adrenaline cap just to make sure because I swear something is draining my adrenaline that wave. you can also buff barricade for that with a dino pen buff.

Will the obsidian armor work along side the ring fighting the mobs? I heard it doesn’t work on Zuk but it will on others? Would it also be worth it if on a budget?

5:16 do you know if barging into that minion will remove the shield?

wow i didnt even think of oynx bak bolts TY man, was trying to get zuk capes with range and did not want to switch to mage for it

5:10 - spam clicking the minion isn't necessary. I realized this is similar to what I do on Anachronia counter-clockwise agility. You just need to allow a tick or two to pass before your character faces diagonal towards the target, and then surge.

I HIGHLY recommend fighting the final Zuk Fight Portion of the Front over and over until you get it down once you have that checkpoint. It makes a world of difference having the confidence. I’am doing it without curses… not even Piety…

how do u unlock hardmode? what are those "all challenges" u mentioned?

it says on the wiki, "Igneous stone, used to upgrade the variants of the TokHaar-Kal capes from the Fight Kiln. The upgrade item is a guaranteed reward for completing the encounter without using checkpoints and by completing Zuk's challenges." no mention that you dont actually have to complete the challenges, that had me thinking i'll never do this ever, but if you dont have to i might give it another go

the tips for chal fase are god tips, i will buy gchain to help in this boss and to do the 5 golen fase, and the 3kless hitcap i have 3kc and didint knew that, ty for the vid

If you used cryptbloom armour (T90 Mage Tank) I've found you will be re-doing waves which uses more food because you can't dps him down 50k in the few seconds you get. I've also had trouble again with killing zuks 3 minions fast enough in the tank armour. Or do I just suck at dps?

using animate dead and tank mage armour is really good, its what i used to finally get my first zuk kill today, BUT, your dps will suffer in the actual zuk fight itself. the fire pizza phases can be done if lucky but tend to be only survived by the skin of my teeth if at all.

I am surprised you did not mention using the vampyrism aura or vamp scrim for melee.

Was thinking that more for a full guide but yes those help although could make you struggle more if the dps checks are getting you. And melee seems to be the hardest style which is why I didn't mention much about it.

I dont know if this is bug, but i have unlock the hard mode without finishing normal mode idk why. Just one dau i was about to do trash run and to my surprise it was different then i noticed it was already on hardmode

If you enable HM arch glacor or kerapac then go to zuk it’ll do that

Do you have any DPS tips for the 3 minions during the zuk fight? I can ‘manage’ to survive his other mechanics, but DPSing the minions before the insta kill is v hard

They have the special mechanics you have to deal with so if you're not doing them your dps is cut to shit. Other than then I assume you should be able to rapid fire/asphix and then use some bleeds and take them out. Clicking on them and surging to them also saves time.

If you’re using obsidian, you can bring melee to help you kill the ranger while your thresholds are on cd from the first guy. I finished an eof recently which basically solved the problem for me, but I was getting very, very consistent kills using ascensions + drygores for the ranger

Mostly just dumping thresholds and adren potting, having a spec like dbow or guthix staff can help as well. Hydrix bolts for ranged is good. U can also vuln them for extra 10% damage if u need.

The first one, I deep impact and just ice wrack with a wild magic. The second one is wiped by deto/wild magic>conc. The last one dies with a few ice wracks and gstaff. Doing bind combos is really strong, especially if you're saving your threshes.

Did you fail any of the 3 challenges? A flawless run is needed to unlock HM.

Little surprised you aren't using a dummy on that 1st challenge wave. Caroming + Greater Chain/Ricochet and then an ultimate.

For the rain DPS check its easier to get under zuk and just walk into the safe area.

What boss do you recommend to start learning manual? I never have the adrenaline I need because of revo. And I'm too afraid of using manual because I won't remember what put to push and there's so many abilities I never remember what they do. Any help is appreciated. ❤️

I know its a bit late but... I started at a boss i was very secure with. In my case it was Vindicta as i knew the habits and so on. After Vindi i went to Rax as that fight got more complex thanks to the mechanics and P4. Nowadays I would suggest normal mode Arch Glacor actually. With all 5 mechanics you can practice all needs. Pray flicks, defensives, DPS, gear swaps (for planted feet for example). The boss is really really good to learn!

@@windengel5221 yeah, I've done 5 mechanics Glacor and it's super easy (now that I understand devotion 🤣) but the thing that messes me up is in HM when it's a b2b cannon. I know there's 3 abilities you use, but I never remember them and easily get confused as to what button to push. I get so freaked out by cannon because I had a bad time learning it (because of my lack of knowledge with devotion) and I pretty much freak out every time. I've gotten better, but with a double cannon, fahgeddabaddit.

@@VatardGaming I carry a spirit shield exactly for that with me... The first cannon is Anticipate into devotion mit protect magic. The second is Spiritshield+reflect+protect magic. It helps to anticipate again here or freedom before you get hit. Also if you really want to make sure the cannon number 2 doesnt kill you you can add a Debilitate into that. So spirit shield+anticipate+reflect+debilitate. There is another method using resonance but thats to finicky for me since it needs perfect timing to heal off the correct cannon hit or you die so i use the method above...

im good through the waves but get smacked at zuk an fail at the dps check on the pizza phase been trying since launch made good money but no cape lmao... using mage an t90s

9:14 How do you do that? How do you hit a target that many times at once? I've seen guides on this fight and everyone seems to be able to basically insta-kill monsters like that and one-cyle Zuk's vulnerable states but no one has ever explained how they do it.

Barricading thru 3 challenges should be enough to get kiln cape upgrade.

Does death touch work here for insta kill?

You might want to put elder malletops in the Ranch out of Time pens to extend your barricade time even further. With a T90 shield and turtling you can get an 18 second cade.

Honestly I found melee the easiest for the final fight, primarily because of barge being incredibly useful and not sharing a cool down with surge.

Died 78 times trying to get the cape upgrade, only have melee so the waves with the strong rangers and magers etc are so hard :( even using devotion as much as I can

@@xPlantpoTx My iron has full tmw, spear, zgs, lengs, the work, etc. With that said though, I appreciate how gwd3 has not been too kind to the melee meta. The input cost of runes and ammo alone means melee is a superior choice when available. I like how they pivoted away from the melee spank and tank design. The rewards have been kind, too, especially with all these gem tips and the grasping tune pouches.

As soon as they spawn, disrupt, resonance, then barricade. You'll get through.

Maybe I shouldn't be listening to this guy while testing this out. I love part he saids "this is the best spot" while I'm clueless and panicked to find the "best spot".

I make it to zuk with plenty of supplies, but zuk slaps so hard I use a full inv and yak while never missing a pray, using devo res div on cool down. Never get caught in pizza either. Takes 4 phases to dps him down. This is NM in seismics virtus perked. Tried gano and it helps but still slaps so hard lol. Also flicking ss between autos... like tf jagex lol

Can cut like 300-1000 Bak bolts in two days depending on hella luck if you have no auras familiar perfect juju and perked crystal hatchet

You can kill zuk with t85 weapons, you will really struggle with the challenges though

Gotcha, so basically, to get the cape, you need to have 3b+ setup.

I don't think you need to do the challenges to get the cape upgrade. A friend failed some of the challenges and still got the stone.

This boss arena is another perfect example of why I hate mobile… Any flick and/or ma Hal ability is 3-4 perfect inputs with fat fingers… God I hate not being able to afford a decent computer.

Why does no one use the adrenaline urns anymore? lol Remember those? From the Halloween event a few years ago?

Theres an arch relic which makes it so you dont lose adren when out of combat which essentially makes urn useless (unless you dont want to run that relic)

You dont need all of these things hence why its a tip video with multiple tips, made within the week of release for zuk. Having the same gear as me isnt required either. This isnt a budget zuk boss guide, just info that could help you out if you have it/need it.
