An AMAZING app for this would be in new construction, I would love a complete walk through of a house right before drywall was installed. Then later when you are actually living in it, you can put this on and look through the drywall for exactly what is behind it for pipe locations, studs, water lines etc. Also as a sales option, just an actual walk through of any house listing would be pretty neat (I know this exists, but bring it to the vision pro with better visuals).

As a graphic designer who used to travel a bit, the killer feature for me would be the mirroring of a Mac desktop. Being able to use indesign, photoshop and illustrator on virtual 80” desktop instead of my 14” MacBook would be huge. From my experience editing a 32 page brochure in a hotel room is a no picnic. A Vision Pro would have been wonderful. $4000 to meet clients deadlines over the course of the year and make it easier, is real value. Plus when I’m done I can kick back and watch a stunning film. Years ago I was contracted to attend sales meeting and create a daily 4 page news paper highlighting the previous days events. I bought a 24” iMac and huge carrying case just for that event. It was every bit of what a Vision Pro would cost. Probably more in today’s dollars.

Pretty sure Vision Pro supports that natively, tho for your use case it should be noted that it doesn’t support the full P3 colour gamut

My personal favourite feature of NowPlaying on Apple Vision Pro is the SongDisplay mode which lets you put a window somewhere and it will always show what music is playing (even when you're watching a film) Keep up the good work!

Great topic and suggestions! Thanks. Regarding Juno, once I pop up a video, I’m not seeing any way to bring up the transport controls on that video, for example to pause/resume the video, go back/forward 15 seconds, etc. Best ve been able to do is just close that player window and re-open it.

I would love an app that can map out my house with all the furniture, where the walls and doors are etc and then replace the furniture and walls with another (nicer) house. So basically the walls and furniture would all be showing where they actually are in reality but what I would be seeing is a much nicer house with much nicer furniture.

Another idea is an app that just changes the air automatically, where you can see dragons flying. Or a server where people changed the looking of buildings.

How bad is the binocular effect on the Vision Pro, do you feel most of the content you’re looking at or see a lot of the side view

It's pretty minor. This headset is so immersive you quickly forget about the edges. I haven't used my Quest 2 in a while, but I don't remember it being much different.

I don't understand. You want to be able to record what you see? It can do that already.

I just cannot figure out how to transfer already-owned movies onto the AVP. I bought the 1 TB version but have only 50 GB on it right now. Can you send me a link that explains how to copy content to the AVP for when I'm on a long flight and want to watch shows? Thank you.

Can you make normal calls not facetime

There are two glaring omission pieces of software that are both on the Meta quest. First, there is no way to play a 360° video file that you have recorded on a 360° camera such a insta360 or a go pro. The second is there is no way to play a 3D video file. Not spacial video, but a 3D file. And why the youtube player you mention is great, I was very disappointed that it did not support youtube VR or 3D videos. I am hoping VLC will come out with a player for Apple Vision that is free and will solve these issues. But I would purchase one in a heatbeat!

@@johnbenton For 3D movies, AppleTV, Disney+, Peacock, and Paramount+ all have streaming 3D movies. However, there is a 3D file format for both 180° and 360° videos that you can download. There are also a lot of them on KZread VR, which will also not play on Apple Vision. I am sure it will come eventually when the KZread app is released that Google said in a statiment they are working on for the Apple Vision Pro.

Or rather, what should we output spatial videos to (codec) so they can be shared spatially. I care less about 180 /360 than I do the spatial Thanks for the info! Jb

i would spend an unreal amount of money for an avatar the last airbender app that lets us bend elements in AR. imagine AR battles with AI opponents. or just online multiplayer battles. phew

I *desperately* want an app for displaying/playing 3D and 360° photos & videos created by higher-end devices such as GoPro MAX, Insta360 X3, and Canon R5 with Canon's dual fisheye lens. This is the reason why I bought my AVP, and I am deeply disappointed by the lack of a way to use much of my own content with it. Spatial videos shot on iPhone 15 Pro Max or the AVP itself are cute and worthwhile, but the quality is sorely lacking in comparison with other "spatial" cameras, both consumer and pro.

There is an app called Spatial Station where you can upload videos like this, or watch videos uploaded by others.

Does anyone keep their battery connected at all time? even with the front protective cover on.

It drains the battery, even with the AVP in standby mode.

Honestly. I completely understand the technological advances that involve all of this, but I don't see any application in this device. I understand that time will determine the progress of this device, but it has nothing interesting to justify the price.

You're tapping into a different dev environment with the vision, as well as the apple ecosystem. Not passing judgement on either system, but there is an inherent difference

I use an Anker 733 battery bank/charger hybrid and get HOURS of usage with no need to hot swap the OEM battery.
