CAC scores are (in my layman’s opinion) an underused test . I’m using my zero CAC score as a single data point for my health. And my approach to staying healthy- the only true zero is ZERO assumptions. N=1.
I am 50 years old Chinese Amercian paternal side has history of atherosclerosis, mom had a stroke last year, maternal grandpa and maternal cousin. I have brady and tachcardia and valve issues. Do you suggest I get a CAC scan ? or the blod tests to determine risk of coronary artery disease first? or get both the blood tests and scan?
