Lockdown has changed me forever - it's very hard to go back to restricting fancy clothes. Bring on the elasticated/with drawstrings/baggy/roomy&breezy outfits! 😂

Hack for raw hem jeans: You can buy something called "Prym fray check" from e.g. Amazon. It is a clear gel that you apply thinly slightly above the hem (ideally on the back/inside) and the hem will stop fraying. I used it mainly on my jeans shorts and it works very well. Lasts at least one/two washes and after that you might want to reapply.

hey Anna! just an FYI, the Birks are in a material known as EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) so you can pronounce them as ee-vee-ay instead of the name Eva :) i love my black EVA Birks as well! definitely the ultimate summer shoes.

My favorite outfit I've worn this summer (to work, as I've gone back to the office full time) has been my J Crew beige linen trousers, paired with a fitted short-sleeved featherweight sweater in a faded brick red shade, finished off with my black birkenstocks (I have the leather milanos which have the two straps like yours, plus a strap around the heel) and a watch with a black leather strap.

Oh 35 degrees, we most definitely had a heatwave on Friday! x

Love the pieces & the outfits. 💗 my most worn pieces in summer are my Birkenstock sandals (the same ones as yours), a (wrap) maxi skirt, white (t-)shirt (I recently got a white oversized linnen shirt, yay), definitely my hat and sunglasses.

You should definitely check out more of Hackwith Design House pieces (the designer of the camisole) they have lots of linen and their swimwear is amazing quality! They also do a discount program to return and repair old pieces (and re-sell at a discount) to keep their process as circular as possible and waste less. Not sure if they ship to the UK though?

Hey Anna I have a quick question regarding linen blouses! Would you say the material becomes softer/more supple with wear? Every time I try on a linen shirt I get put off by the amount of volume it adds to my shoulders and arms because of the material just doesn't drape nicely. No joke, I've even considered buying a shirt and sleeping in it for a while to break it in haha.

Anna we need to talk... the linen from Arket needs to stop... I feel like a linen lady and might get a divorce if I order one more Arket thing 🤣 And on the serious note THANK you for the cutest combo is the linen shorts and linen shirt I feel cute and very put together in that ! I love the shorts and white blouse, I love blouses and skirts. My most worn is both of my long high-low skirts with my new white top. I love my dresses but breastfeeding it's harder to wear them =D This time you did not include a dress =( Have a good week

With my feet (= my toes) I’ll never be able to enjoy the dainty strap sandals you pull off so greatly. Still enjoy seeing them on other people tho

Yes, I was wondering why Mark was telling her what to wear. He doesn’t seem to be the controlling type. Also, Birks are great for outdoor wear. More pleasing to the eye than Teva sandals, which are more for sports/hikes/travel.

What I thought she meant was that because she wears them indoors, Mark doesn’t want her to wear them outdoors as well and she said she is considering getting a dedicated “outdoor” pair. It’s more of a keeping the house clean sort of thing?

tridevic Yeah it’s definitely that! She mentioned them on a recent podcast and said the same thing but worded it differently. It’s just like house shoes/slippers that you wouldn’t wear outdoors. I think Mark has just suggested they stay as indoor shoes for hygiene, not in a remotely controlling way!

She uses the shoes to wear around the house. If she wore them outside, she would probably track dirt in the home. I'm pretty sure that's all she meant, which is why she may buy another pair to wear out and about.
