I think a lot of the criticism I see around the 10 item wardrobe is from people who don’t understand the concept. I’ve been following Jennifer L Scott for a long time & I am so inspired by everyone who does this method! So fun to see how different everyone’s style is!

Love this !! I need to get my 3-5 bottoms away from sweatpants 😅😂 I think im actually doing this now. Just not with the exact style I desire…. I always gravitate toward the sweatpants/T-shirt coziness

Yessss I get it. It is important to have a few basics that you know are super comfy to lounge around and all. No problem with that! I am trying out different styles too. For fall and winter I had lots of neutral cozy sweaters and mostly neutral colors in general and I stayed very happy with it all fall and winter. For spring and summer I want to try a few more colors to see how that is:) Thank you so so much for watching and for commenting! Can't wait to hangout soon when my life is finally normal😅

I'm only now realising I've been practising minimalism in the last few weeks! Getting rid of many clothes (selling app or charity) and sticking to pieces I seriously wear all the time. I'm now down to 25 pieces for summer, 40 for winter (jumpers, coats and layering items included). Flower patterns and neutrals is what I go for.

That's amazing!!!! Good for you. It's super hard to do at first but it is so freeing. I love neutrals too especially for winter. I added a couple brighter items for spring and summer just to try out how that is.

Awwww thank you for this sweet comment! Yes it helps a lot. It helps me not be as stressed. I do simplify my boys clothes and toys as well as my kitchen and bedding etc! I'm still in the process of extreme minimalism and it's been amazing so far. Thank you again for supporting my channel😍❤❤

I would say about 20! I like to have quite a few basics for simple days with the kids outside gardening and all. And I like dresses so I have a few nice dresses for dates out and just when I feel like getting dressed up a bit more:)

I find it hard because its not really 10 items. Also if you have 10 items a season its still 40 items. And you said you have a lot of extras. Its fine if you do it this way, I just find it realky hard to make a wardrobe that works for me.

It seems unreal to me, and I don't like to criticize but in this case it is: Does it never rain in 6 months? You haven't shown a single piece of clothing, shoes or anything that can honestly withstand a rainy day. Doesn't it cool at night? Because I don't see you in mini shorts at 12 degrees Celsius really. Don't you have another thing in the day to be with the children in the garden? And I'm not talking about work anymore (which in general will be like this and you won't be able to dress like that) but meetings with teachers, family events, parent meetings.... normally you won't go in mini shorts and in summer you sweat and only two dresses . Speaking of sweat, the number of shirts is unreal considering: children, garden, summer, sweat, stains, I remember working in the garden and playing with children. In the middle of the week you don't have clothes to wear and it's drying out, I already say: very unreal in this case because of the type of clothes, the children, six months, and the activities

All due respect, I think you need to research the 10 item wardrobe. You keep items for those eventualities in your wardrobe as extras for when they’re needed. BUT you don’t keep 10 of them. Only what you really need for those activities. Everyone’s wardrobe will look different based on their life circumstances.

@@MsDianaJean So you don't have a wardrobe of 10 clothes, so a wardrobe of 10 clothes for 6 months is not realistic. You will have a wardrobe of x clothes, you can express it as I have 100 clothes or I have 10 capsules of 10 clothes each but you do not have a wardrobe of 10 clothes.

Very rude. She said this is just her style and yours doesn't have to look like hers. She is kind to make this video to help others and you are just being an anonymous jerk. This doesn't look like a child's wardrobe. It is refreshing to me to see a minimalist wardrobe that is colorful and fun.
