If I'd known you were going to show the Cat Condo again I'd have chosen another channel for me and Jerry the Guinea Pig to watch. He's pretty pissed at me for being reminded of the comparative inadequacy of his current residence. I've told him I'm not getting the tools out before Christmas. Impasse and bad feeling all round; somewhat mollified by the sheer quality of the (non-feline) makeovers that followed. He's a piggy of taste and discernment.

Cats are so much like men!!!

It was actually your Cat Condo that inspired me to redo common furniture (usually from Target or Walmart) that I would normally give away or donate, and rethink them for my cats. 😸 I’ve seen all your videos in order and noticed how they get better and better and beyond belief at their beauty! I’m so certain the best is always yet to come because you outdo yourself every video- you’re not just a furniture restorer, you are an artist of the highest degree! And I thank you so much for all the work, effort, respect, and love that you put into every piece. (Plus, I love the furbaby breaks, especially Mr. Business, himself- Nacho 😸)

As a beginning diy'r who is only fixing family antiques, you are inspiring and educational. My mother refinished a lot of furniture in 50s and 60s. I'm redoing some of her pieces. I appreciate what she did w/out modern tools or instruction and wish i knew how she learned it.

Hard to choose one, but I would pick the art deco radio. I want to do one some day. But what inspired me the most was how your skills in video and woodworking keep advancing. Looking forward to 2024.

It’s simply a case of not everyone having the ability to see past the grime and abuse, nor the meticulous patience and talent to restore them to great pieces again. In fact some are now better than they were originally, having just been massed produced to meet the increasing needs of the time.

Sheer attention to detail makes your radio makeover my favorite. The art deco side tables are a close second due to their absolute beauty. The lowly dumpster dresser is my third choice as it appeals to my love of the arts and crafts movement's basic simplicity of design, even if it doesn't fall squarely in that category. Congratulations on this year's body of work. May next year be even better for you as you progress. My favourite piece and yes it’s an emotional choice is the bedside tables, when my mum passed away, I struggled to part with some of her furniture pieces, especially her dressing table that she saved and bought for their home more than 67 years ago. We dismantled it and now have 2 beautiful bedside tables. I love seeing the beautiful wood grain come to life as you restore these pieces. It’s always a wow moment.

Angie, I do say many time's that you're the best in KZread restorations. Oh my, when I saw the art deco vanity I thought it would turn out ok, but how you transformed it was amazing. This is definitely true artistic talent, it as if the wood speaks to you. Someone else would have painted it , and that beautiful piece would have been lost. Well done Angie, 💕💕🦋

Well I did it! Thanks to your motivation and I bought a huge extremely heavy 1980’s orange oak living room set coffee, end tables and side table with “mildly” 🥴damaged veneer. Other than furniture for my own home I haven’t repurposed or refinished a piece in years. I am so excited! I have to thank you for all these videos. Because of you, my 10 year old daughter has become really interested in refinishing/refurbishing furniture, and we just completed our first project together, a solid wood coffee table that we picked up for free, and resurfaced using an electric plane, and a ton of elbow grease with sandpaper. We repainted the metal frame and legs, and it looks fantastic (walnut finish, using Natura Onecoat). Now she's on the hunt for more projects using Facebook marketplace as her stomping grounds.

The tedious transformation of the Viking Radio, of course, tops the list. In second place was the light grey tall boy with the pointed ovals on the bottom 2 drawers. The wood is so gorgeous. Why would anyone paint that? The art deco desk or vanity is in third. I used to beg my dad to take before & after pictures of his work. Occasionally, he remembered. These transformations bring me back to those moments of pride when we delivered the restored pieces to their delighted owners. Awesome work!

Your video on the cat condo showed up in my feed awhile back and I thought, sure I’ll watch this cute crafty video - then I started watching and was like, “Woah, what is going on here!” I was - and continue to be - blown away by your skills, knowledge, craftsmanship and artistry. Your workmanship is top notch and only improving but you've also created a whole subset who appreciate watching the process!

If I had to pick a favorite it would be between the Art Deco side tables and the Art Deco vanity. Love that style and love that you brought them back to better than original condition. Great job on all of the projects though!

ALL of your work is stunningly beautiful! Each restoration is a pleasure to watch! Im wondering if you ever decided to produce furniture from 'scratch' - if you would find half the pleasure that resurrecting something headed to the trash provides you? My main mission in my business is to keep things out of the trash. Sometimes that means working on busted antiques and sometimes it means particle board crap. Lol A lot of it still has decades of use left. If I can take something and modify it to be more desirable, it will get used, at least for a time. But in the meantime, hopefully that transformation will inspire other people to do the same. There are many amazing modern craftspeople doing phenomenal work. And I’m not saying I’d never try it… but my efforts are focussed elsewhere purposely. Hope that makes sense. :-)

I am learning so much from you. Thank you for taking the time to explain things as you go. The finished cabinet is beautiful!

Wow! As a borderline "crazy cat lady", I absolutely love the cat condo! What a vision you had for the end product... The cat condo is so different, unique and beautiful. I haven't found any cat furniture so beautifully made. There is definitely a market for this type of furniture. Sub based on this project alone. Now to watch the remaining 9 projects.
