No cap, a lot of finishes I have never seen and been watching MMA for 20 years.

Great stuff! That second match with Sexton and Shimoishi lasted longer and was better than anticipated. From the beginning, I highly anticipated Sexton's victory, when I noticed how terrible Shimoishi's footwork and range game was. I don't know either of these fighters but hopefully it wasn't Shimoishi's best.

15:24 really shows how different they move and think. Sexton is calm, watching and pacing his steps, keeping simple and containing energy while Shimoishi keeps hopping the same rhythms, no change in his foot patterns, he isn't getting in Sexton's head at all. Honestly, Shimoishi is moving too much and not focusing triangulating for set up counters or playing with his range at all to change the mental pace of Sexton.

@@AverageGabriel You seem to know the sport pretty well…what would you say about Sexton overall? It’s my first time seeing him fight and I really gated his style to be honest…it almost looked like he thought he was in some street brawl instead of a professional fight (the back of the head punch) but it could just be my amateur eyes lol I just started getting into mma and I’ve watched a good amount of fights but this just rubbed me the wrong way intuitively. Let me know your thoughts! 👌🏻👍🏻

@@krisuler7734 They are both a bit unorthodox still and had a lot of mistakes in how they approach one another and throwing reaching strikes with no follow up. I can see why it looked like that to you and i agree, also didn't see the back of the head strike but that should be illegal. Sexton is more overall balanced in the tactics and skill that follow kickboxing but he seems to be also fighting himself in there.. a bit hesitant with how he keeps switching himself around, undefined. I started karate at 16, kinda late but flew with it, traveled the globe and several other traditional karate styles, as well as MMA programs, weapon, gun, knife classes and fell in love with Muay Thai style kickboxing when i was training for UFC back in 2011 but had a change of heart after seeing how sloppy UFC was promoting their fighters and the fighters just continue to be clowns more and more these days. I only watch KZread fights that pop into my recommened, for me to critic them. I don't know either of these fightesr either but.. did some research and shocked that Sexton is 5'9" like me, but thicker bone frame and more mass. THis fight must have been welterweight cause I'd fall under light welterweight at my current 137 lbs.

Why are you complaining? These are great fights. If you’re that incapable of watching fights just fast forward each one until its finisher. I knew it’d be fill fight content based on how long the video was prior to clicking on it…🤗

Sexton fight was interesting. After that first knockdown and the ref letting him beat on the guy without a stoppage, I think he just got annoyed the fight was still going.
