I was born and raised up in Oman. Nobody even SHOULD dare to criticise the Sultan. He made a paradise out of desert and gave chance to millions of people around the world to reside here.He is like a father figure to all of us here , residents and citizens alike.

You mentioned how we’re “not allowed” to criticize the Sultan but didn’t mention how much his people truly love him for what he’ve done for the country. And anyone who thinks about criticizing him( especially from his citizens) they’re stupid because we can never ask for a better ruler.

I just need answers... if Islam is a wonderful religion then I will convert....
@XxazzanoxX

afaan sam I do not get what you mean by the first question. We do consider Mohammed as our prophet of course. Yes it is forbidden in Islam to drink alcohol but not all Muslims follow the correct rules and teaching so they choose to drink but no one is perfect, alcohol licenses are needed by everyone who chooses to drink including foreigners

@@afaanish @ wt u speak is very true.but have to understand that Muslim r human being so they can made mistakes they can be dinner but that is not the standard of measure ment wt actually the values n rules of Islam.coz Muslim's action could be erroneous but the religious and it's lesson can not be .so u should look upon wt the prophet Muhammad Sallahu walaihi wassalm did n advices to do according Quran n hadis.

I am really happy to see all these nice comments about Oman. I have lived in 9 countries so far and Oman was one that marked me forever for its beautiful, well educated and kind people. I have been very lucky to live in Salalah, a paradise on earth. Just a small correction: you don´t need a licence to drink alchool at a bar or hotel, you only need it if you want to buy alchool bottles at a shop. As an expat and if you want to obtain the licence, you may request it to your employer.

Just to say ...about the marriage from a non omani citizen ..first it is legal its not a crime and definitely u can enter the country .. but there are some restricted rules ..such as ur not allowed or banned to work in a convermental institution ....and in some cases the children might not get the omani citizenship because of many issues that appeared throught the past years .....but for a notice many omanis are married to non omani citizen and some of their partners got the omani citizenship its not a big deal ........god bless our country and the sultan🇴🇲

i lived in dufar ( pronounced do far) for 17 years of my life , nicest people you'll meet ever!! some extra info to complement your nice vid 1- the sultan had to overthrow his father , cuz otherwise he couldn't free the slaves . yes , until 1970 slaves were actually a thing in oman , and the sultans father was notorious for his maltreatment of slaves . 2- the government made marrying a foreigner hard for 2 reasons , to combat the so called mail ordered pride (human trafficking) . and also for cultural reasons 3- you can find a coke in oman ... its just not popular lol 4- you can drink in oman , you just can buy it in 3* hotels or higher , public drinking or drinking and driving are punished though 5- Dufar is one of the most beautiful natural spots in the region , in the summer its very popular , best green spaces and most beatufile waters
