Bruh I can vouch for Lidge, I found that bottle as a tester at the local Arabian perfume shop, no cap and broken stem 90% full, they let me buy it for $25. I had to decant it to use it but it’s beautiful. I’ve only worn it once and I no BS got 9 compliments the night I wore it. It’s a masterpiece!

I have one Fragrance that I would consider a Holy Grail and it is Blonde Amber by Clive Christian. It smells amazing and great performance also. The best Fragrance that I have put my nose on so far.

I bought five of the limited release Tom Ford decanters including Amber Absolute. I've not used any of them to date since I still have several generous samplings for each. Also, I'm told they are all gone at this point.

I’m one that doesn’t get into the whole batch conversation on most fragrances myself Bowtie but I have a 2016 batch of Aventus. I wore it one day last year and I’ll be damned if I didn’t get 15 hours out of it. When I woke up I could still smell a decent skin scent on my arm so it’s a big difference.

Darren when I started watching you I was a little put off by the arrogance. But now I'm a fan. Your knowledge of fragrances just has to evolve to higher levels if you are going to be a collector. And you do a magnificent job of having people who love this hobby explore more than just your everyday basic designer frags.

I have that exact version of LIDG in my wardrobe, bought it over 15 years ago I think. Maybe I was too young for it at the time because it just smelled like old man to me. Maybe I'll try it again.

I hear that Nasomatto Pardon is similar to LIDGE, it seems to be the most upvoted ‘similar’ fragrance on Fragrantica. It won’t be exactly the same as it isn’t a clone, but it should be in the same ball park. 🙌🏻

@@SirSillageSniffington pardon is a lot more woodier than lidge, and it doesn't have that licorice like profile. Also, pardon is beautiful, but its not really similar to lidge.

There are others with less votes like Laboratorio Olfativvo Patchouliful and Essential Parfum Patchouli Mania but there’s no guarantee they’ll be any closer. It may be that Pardon is as close to a niche version of LIDGE as you’ll find…
