10 Habits That Boost Your Emotional Well-being

At times, we can often forget to give our mental health the attention it deserves. Some of our actions may be too mentally draining, such as holding onto toxic relationships or pushing ourselves too hard with school or work. It can be a good idea to step back and take a look at our behaviors and habits and ask ourselves the question: do I possess healthy habits? Or negative ones? I’m sure we all have negative habits, but now it’s time to start incorporating some mentally beneficial behaviors into our routines in hopes we can develop a new habit - a good one this time. Here are a few mental health tips that boost your emotional well-being.

    - I do a lot of posture checks throughout the day, and it's great for keeping me sane. - I have a serious problem with emotional suppression, as I am surrounded by extremely emotionally sensitive people and have a lot of trouble gauging my emotions. - My oversleeping is slowly clearing up, and I'm getting closer to a very routine sleep schedule. - My depression has taken my love of exercise into near non existence. - Socializing is absolutely one of my favourite things, but I'm not skilled at it, and I become very exhausted when around people too long - I sometimes overthink before acting, due to what has happened in the past when I don't think before acting/saying something.

Whenever I feel saddened, emotionally unhealthy, or feel negative, I rush towards this channel and listen to that soothing voice. It helps me calm down, and re-energize myself, and to remind me that I am worth it and I am a person who can achieve so much. Its that mental war that I (and likely many others) have to battle within ourselves that says otherwise and we have to make sure that the positive side of us takes control and wins the battle. Today is one of those days where Im feeling negative and feel like not doing anything but thankfully I felt much better after watching these videos. Thank you!

Thank you so much for each and every single video. The part where you were hoping we aren't watching this video at 3AM was so endearing. But on a more important note. As much has you have been supporting all of us, I among many of us hope you also take proper care of yourself. Please do not burn yourself out and if you need some time off (I understand youtube algoritm isn't that kind to people who need a break), take some time off. We understand. Be well.

Hey psych2go 😊 thanks for you're videos. Since the covid pandemic, I've been stuck alone at home with no one to talk to and sometimes it gets the best of me. I slowly started to be demotivated doing my work that I used to love. But listening to your videos gave me hope that I'm not alone.

these characters are so cute and your voice is incredibly comforting. The biggest way I said yes to myself this year was quitting a job that made me cry at least once a week....life hasn't exactly been easy with not working but I am happier I must admit.. sometimes I think about going back to work just to have money but then I feel like I would be disrespecting myself if i did that so I'm gonna do my best to not go backwards. I love these videos. Please never stop making them!

I think I'm definitely most guilty of social media. It's a love hate relationship lol Learning to acknowledge my feelings has been a process. I think the tricky part is when issues arise with another person and trying to talk things out and tell them how I feel becomes an issue. The mindset of feelings making a person (too) sensitive or when you have feelings to "just get over it" has brought a lot of conflict. I've learned that sometimes the only person who will acknowledge my feelings is me but having such conflicts has made it difficult at times. Learning self care has been something I've been striving to do also. Sometimes I feel like I'm being irresponsible because I do things for myself whether I go eat at a nice restaurant, buy 3-5 books at once 😅, or take myself on a date. I have to remind myself I need a break to do something I like, not just something I need and that it's not like I don't pay my bills and take care of my basic needs. Thank you Psych2Go for another awesome video! I know I named my few that I'm guilty of and/or working on but I enjoy finding ways to live a healthier lifestyle altogether. I appreciate your channel 💖

For the sleeping point - I do watch those videos at 3am xDD But don't worry, that's just me being a night owl. Sometimes it's okk to have a different sleeping schedule as long as you get the sleep you need :33 To me going to sleep before midnight is impossible and made my entire adolesence unbearable (school starting at 8 and all) so the frst thing I did when I got my first job is made sure I work evening shifts. Id get back home around midnight, take a few hours to decompress and go to sleep in the middle of the night. But i always made sure to not get out of bed before 11 o'clock, usually even an hour or two later. This had incresed my productivity at work so much that my bosses had trouble believing I actually never finished highschool given how organized I was at work. Make sure to get your healthy hours of sleep but remember - there are jobs out there that can accomodate you if you have a different biological clock. Don't fight your body!!!! Listen to it, sympathise with it and make sure you're sleeping 8 hours at any times that feel natural to you. I technically had a lot of time to sleep in my school life but insomnia made it so i NEVER slept more than 5h max before school. Work has changed this a lot for me. It's ok to be different, just make sure you get those 8 hours at a semi regular time each night, k? :33
