Pro Tip: if you buy 6 Nimmt (or Take 5), you can play The Mind & No Thanks with it. You just need to make counters/shuriken with paper or pennies. You can also play The Game with it. It’s basically 4 games in 1. TLDR: buy 6 Nimmt, you get 4 games in 1

Ok, you pulled me in and I bought 6 Nimmt after watching this. I’ve resisted buying games, but you got me with how cheap it is. Cost me just over $10 here in the states, but that’s still a good deal for a game that sounds as fun as this does.

From the same makers of the Cockroach Poker game, you can also get Anxiety In A Box! a.k.a. The Cheating Moth. Pretty much a variation of Uno that encourages you to cheat in any way you can. Be it by hiding your cards, forcing them on other people, sneakily returning them to the deck, dropping them off the table, etc. It starts off very tame, but after just a few rounds you'll start noticing just how far people will go to win when there's no rules to restrain them.

The best rules to use with Uno are 7s and 0s (aka if you play a 7 you have to swap your hand with someone and if you play a 0 everyone passes their hand on to the next player. It doesn't mess with the game's playtime but adds an extra layer of strategy and rage)

I'd rule out Sushi Go, just because I feel like it's worth the extra to go for Sushi Go Party (the board to track the score and greater variability more than justify the decision). Still don't care for Uno, I preferred a homebrew version played at school with a regular deck of cards that allowed you to lay down sequences - it made picking up extra cards sometimes rewarding as you could possibly lay down huge numbers of cards with a bit of planning. Not sure I can easily pick out alternates for them though as most of the better budget games I know are in the £10-20 range (the Oink games for example). Even Welcome To The Dungeon has an RRP of £13. How much of this list would stay the same if you did a sub £15 top 10? Star Realms, Coup, Welcome To The Dungeon, Dobble, Air Land and Sea, Fake Artist Goes To New York, Anomia... There are a number of games there that would be contenders. Maybe worth doing a £10-£20 list? Rhino Hero is excellent, it's probably between that and Hanabi which of this sub $10 list is my favourite.

Only game I can think of that isn't in this video and less than 10 bucks is Saboteur, and you covered that in another video. An extra couple of bucks gets you Bang: The Dice Game, which is also great and also could have been covered in the social deduction video, or Paku Paku which is a fun and fast dexterity game. Some Topic ideas for videos: Best games with campaigns, Best games with Miniatures, best games to play with kids, best deckbuilding games, best "mikado" games (like Men at Work or Tokyo Highway). Also, I have a friend that really likes dice games. I personally don't really like dice as part of game experience outside of really fast party games, because Dice are inherently random and are rarely used with mitigation. So maybe a video on how much randomness should be in a board game could be a good topic.

Why didn't you include Monopoly Deal? It's got nearly all the elements people recognise of Monopoly in it, except it's a card game and it's really fun. You can play it in 10-20 minutes once you've got three property sets and.....ahem....it costs £4!

Bandido is $20 on Amazon in the US. Bandida, however - the exact same game only with a female bandit - is only $15. The wage gap exists even in card games.
