Another tip for decorative books from a librarian here : you can visit local libraries that have an in house book sale room or host regular fundraising book sales. Often books will be anywhere from 25 cents to 1 dollar and you can score some pretty books for displays or DIYs while also helping a good cause. The book covers are so easy to take off and some may already have their book jackets removed.

Ive done this for years! 🤦🏻‍♀️On me for not thinking to share the idea. I found a set of Robert Louis Stevenson books, from 1900. Came into some hard times 🥺 sold to an antique store for $350.00.

For those that wanted to know… on the Reindeer - I made one last night, I used 1 FULL skein of Yarn Bee Eternal Bliss yarn. It’s is 28 yards, 7 Jumbo size, and super fluffy yarn. Worked out great!

I prefer the white furry reindeer. That star wreath is amazing!

I thought the drown deer was so pretty but WOW the white one is gorgeous it looks like something you would buy at a fancy department store. Nice job on all of the projects.

I think I'm going to try it with the Dollar Tree rolls of burlap yarn/string.. only because I'm going to put outside on my porch and add lights.. if it was going inside I would def get the white furrry yarn.. that's beautiful!!

Hey Joyce! I honestly would recommend buying your garland in bulk, it might be a better deal - but I used around 15 garland to cover the star bc I wanted to try and get the project all Dollar Tree. Thank you for watching! ❤️

I’ve just finished making the reindeer. It looks so cute! A few tips… have lots of glue sticks available; wear a silicon finger protector; make sure your yarn is not tangled as you work covering specially the body of the reindeer.
