Many think you can’t do fundraising for nonprofits before they get their 501c3 status, but that isn’t true. You can still try some fundraiser ideas to raise enough to apply for your legal nonprofit status as long as you’re transparent with your supporters and donors that their donations are not yet tax-exempt.
In this video I share a few simple no or low-cost ideas to raise money in person or through virtual or online fundraisers. These ideas won’t raise tens of thousands of dollars, but they’ll help you get what you need to file your paperwork to get yourself going!

Ahhh there have been many! Perhaps 'Switch' by Chip and Dan Heath.
How long does it take, on average, before you can pay employees? I'm interested in starting a non-profit, but I also have bills, as does my team. Lol. What are some recommendations that you have for folks wanting to dedicate time to starting a nonprofit, but needing to generate income as well?

Start by creating a fundraising plan with a dollar goal and an explanation of how the money will help your community goal.

It's an in-kind grant, which means they are not giving you cash, they are giving you a service worth $10,000. It is good but you need someone to help you set up google ads / analytics.
