The "bear claws" are very useful for shredding cooked meat, such as pulled pork. I had one of those collapsible colanders, but after a while it started to come apart where the flexible "rubber" joined the more rigid sections - I went back to a plain metal colander.

I enjoy every video you make. However, I checked the most of the gadgets you've listed in description and I must admit they are the hell much more expensive than in Europe and US. And the delivery cost kills when you pay more than the item is worth. It was very entertaining to watch though! Thanks for sharing !

What though, are the 'Claws' @ #5 marketed as? You can use them to hold a Chicken still (or follow it as it slides around the chopping board) but the Carving Fork that comes with the Carving Knife does the same job. For that matter a bog standard Kitchen or Dinner Fork works just as well.

Hi, why oh why is that fantastic pot lid holder only available in the U.S.!!!!? I’m always looking for somewhere to rest the lid and, of course, when I’ve put it down I lose any sauce on to the counter top, which I then have to clean up (so I’m lazy 😂) anything to keep me from unnecessary clean up when I’m busy is worth it in my case!

Just a friendly FYI - The clear ice is due to directional freezing (or directional cooling) and has nothing to do with impurities. It's due to the volume of liquid freezing from one side so that a more perfect crystal lattice can form and this forces the trapped air bubbles down into the bottom ball (those air bubbles are what you're calling impurities).

Kiwi gadget: Use a spoon instead; works every time. Also, larger spoon works with the avocado. Speaking of avocado, halve, sprinkle with some True Citrus® lemon, lime, or orange and some garlic powder (I like Garlic Garni® low-sodium), and either eat out of hand or slice over your salad / taco etc. Yum!

Just a little side-note, a quick way to poach an egg is to put it in a mug (with water of course) and put it in the microwave for about a minute. I tested it a few days ago, just out of curiosity since i never had a poached egg before and it works.

  • @CarinaCoffee

I poach my eggs in the microwave all the time and you're right it works just like that. Of course, depending on egg size and microwave power it can take a bit longer, but I'll never dirty a big pot again just to poach some eggs.

You can also put them into a baggie and tie it tight to make the egg shape. As long as it does come into contact with hot metal long enough to melt it works. You should also poke a small hole into the yolk when cooking in microwave to avoid explosion.

What worried me is the clear ice cube maker. "You should NEVER ingest distilled water, unless you want to end up with bursting cells" is what my chemistry teacher preached. So seeing this worried me (and sure, seeing as it's supposed to melt slower you ingest less of it, but still). But according to a science magazine's article I found online, when you drink it it gets mixed with minerals in your stomach acid and the food in your stomach, so it shouldn't be too bad if you drink just one glass.

The gadget needs to be thinner but still strong maybe. It needs improvement. Yummy chicken ! I forgotten the claws that Ibsaw elsewhere a long while ago. No I don't like ugly towels & gloves on nice fridge if had one.
