Also, at 3:47, it was supposed to show the #4 entry card instead of #3. My mistake. Also also, its apparently unknown who won the KOF XIII tournament. Team Japan's ending mentions them winning the final match, but Elisabeth's team was the team that faced off against Evil Ash is the ending. So it could be either of them.

Terry is still held in high regard though. Both in canon and real life. Sadly Ryo has been discarded as a joke.

​@@IrishKyokushinwouldn't say a joke but not as high regard as in art of fighting. He basically is just on the path to become stronger after his story has basically concluded from art of fighting. But luckily yes in case his stated that they wanted to do an art of fighting reboot recently with the announcement of the Snk universe project. Something akin to a yakaza game where it's a fully functional almost action adventure beat them up game where you get to explore a fully explorable southtown set in the art of fighting universe.

Ryo should definitely be Mr. Karate 2 regardless of how Oswald thinks!!

I really wanted Ryo as Mr. Karate 2nd in the KOF Continuity (more Serious and more Older), but I guess it'll probably never happened since KOF doesn't care about the Concept of Time, The Developer's just loves Ryo's Classic/Vintage Design it's like they Refuse to give him a Redesign (it's like that he's Untouchable).

Ryo deserves recognitions when he is a main character that doesn’t rely on any superhuman power and can stay strong in KOF. Same could be said to Terry and Elisabeth. While the others are pretty much about abusing flames or icicles or giant hands.

I mena Kyo is about using a sacred fire that's handed down for my God in conjunction with a martial art that's been handed down throughout his family utilizing said flames. I see nothing wrong with that and many people have things that they bring to the table. Whether it be nature energy or chi manipulation or the fact that you can somehow learn flames as a form of ninjutsu does mai not abuse flames? Everyone's actually got some form of like energy manipulation or mystical power it's not really a big deal.

@@abc2390986 wasn't saying you were. But I respect Ryo a ton. Same with Shingo. Without flames he is able to still use Kusanagi-kata and mess people up. He can floor an Orochi beast with his bare hands. It is to be commended and respected. I just don't want to put anyone down. Everyone is badass in their own way.

always liked Ryo more... just thought his move set is always much cooler...guess that's why I made my character based on Kyokugenryu :P ITCHGENKI SATS!!!!!

On a sidenote, Ryo‘s Zanretsu Ken, Robert‘s Gen Ei Kyaku, as well as the original name of the game, Ryuko no Ken are inspired by the anime Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star)

I'm totally on Hiroaki's side on this one; The orange gi needs to be put away; not forever, but give us a chance to miss it. Let Ryo evolve a bit from his +10 year stagnation, and later, he can miss the old gi and don it again. Or at least stop getting rid of his gloves and footgear, orange is a strong-ass color, you need dark offsets, or you end up looking like a traffic cone cosplay. (In hindsight, if Ryo wears orange and black, why didn't they make him the tiger?)

Sadly we have to wait until 16 to see if it actually happened. I'm not getting my hopes up.

That scrapped 14 costume would have been great for Ryo, even if they didn't want to make him Mr. Karate.
